I play my marauder very often, and didn't advance the Forged Alliance quest yesterday or did anything particularly noteworthy, and yet I got a fascinating story email. Did it mention the emperor was alive by any chance? I think i got a mail like that myself some months ago and it mentioned the emperor was alive i think.
