Bloom effects on lightsabers STILL NEED fixed/noticed

This is probably my millionth time posting about this and haven't gotten one answer or even a sign of it being looked at. The way you had the blooming in beta was perfect, then it was tinkered with.

Now "green" looks like this: http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/729/swtor20121118220858015.jpg

HOW IT WAS and SHOULD be: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PqOEmVxhpwg/Trint633KXI/AAAAAAAACS0/hEgVeWxK_Os/s1600/screen01_miraluka_full.jpg

I would even take it with classic KOTOR graphics if that is how it was to be fixed!!: http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/18/17478/swkotor_2013-10-11_23-27-10-47.jpg

It's just a real put down for a long time Star Wars fan to not have authentic looking crystals.. Green is/was my all time favorite crystal in the movies, but can't use it because it doesn't look green at all. But now you could say, "just use mint-green" That is not a real green either, that is obviously, "minty" light green and turns bluish.

For example (depending on the environment) Purple looks like Purple/Pink, Green looks like Green/Yellow, Orange looks Orange/Yellow. And it makes the lightsaber look fat, if you will.

As of now the color isn't ONE SOLID color.

Can I please get a response? Thank you and I love the game, have been playing since it was in beta form.

Even blue Lightsabers tend to become cyan at their core. People never made a fuss about this one, but it is as abnormal as others. I believe that the only color that looks remotely fine is red.

Yup.. Red looks perfect. Blue is very very close to being perfect, like you said, the cyan in the core. It's just so annoying that they are two toned pretty much. It's definitely not authentic at all.

Hi there,

I'm not sure, but "bugged" saber colours might have something to do with the "new" colour pallete introduced some time ago.

You can disable it and see if that helps.

On Win7, go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings and open client_settings.ini. Under [Render] add:

AllowColorRemapping = false

If you already have AllowColorRemapping there, just change it to false.

Now... this will change the look of entire game (imo for the better, but that's just me), I don't know how it will impact saber colours. Check and let us know.

Colors are like this since launch. I think it was even worse before the palette improvement.

As far as I know this one was from before the the palette improvement (pic from June of 2012).

PS : I'm proud... when you type "SWTOR green lightsaber" in google, my Knight is in first pics (the one I linked above)

Thanks man.. I'll give that a try. Idk if you played during beta or not, but they had it PERFECT. The green was solid green, every color was solid, till they tinkered with it.

One could only wish it could go back: http://wac.7725.edgecastcdn.net/807725/website/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/patch-1-1-5-610x339.jpg

i really think it gives it the volatile plasma look, but yes, it must be more "contained"
