Beniboybling
That's right, the female population in the Star Wars movies just doubled. You can read the full announcement here. I'm not familiar with these actors, but they sound good/more well known. Good news I think. Edited June 2, 2014 by Beniboybling
cs_zoltan
I know them, they are awesome. There might be hope yet for female characters in the new movies^^
StarSquirrel
Well Gwendoline Christie wasn't that much of a surprise as they'd been looking into some of the women on Game of Thrones for Star Wars since the casting rumors began. Lupita Nyong'o actually won an Oscar for her role in 12 Years a Slave... Not really thrilled about her but if she can bring an Oscar-worthy performance then I could live with this choice. I honestly haven't seen enough of these two to make a solid judgement one way or another but these are certainly some unique choices.
October
Lupita is quite graceful in her work, so it should be exciting seeing her in this. Would be amazing to see her as a Sith.
TheNahash
I'm not Welsh, so it might be a fairly common name but... who goes and names their child Gwendoline? Is Galadriel her godmother? King Arthur?
