At least anytime soon, they're going back to the Rebellion-era stuff for now and focusing on that. Besides, if you think about it the majority of people who know of star wars (the casual fans) know Solo and to the lesser degree Boba far better than the Pre-Rebellion and OR era characters. They want to see what Disney is making now, not stuff that doesn't resemble the Star Wars they knew as much. Going back in the timeline would cause a mess in their heads. Seems to be easily solved with a trailer... "Twenty thousand years before Episode One...." Problem solved.
