purpleapple
hi. i made an alt but i can't figure out how to import my key bindings from my main. i made extensive changes to the key bindings so doing it manually is a bit of a pain
dmarkd
At this point you can't import them, and it appears they are all stored server side. You'll have to set them up manually.
Vandrel-Blitz
Right now the only thing you can copy over between characters is: [settings] ChatColors = b3ecff;ff7397;ff8022;a59ff3;eeee00;eeee00;B3ECFF;B3ECFF;B3ECFF;cc87f3;82ec89;FF00FF;EFBC55;317A3C;eeee00;FF0000;eeee00;ff7f7f;EEEE00;EEEE00;EEEE00;eeee00;eeee00;eeee00;eeee00;eeee00;eeee00;eeee00;eeee00;FF5400;eeee00;eeee00;eeee00;A00000;C92E56;BB4FD2;1FAB29; ChatChannels = 1.General.532840903;2.Other.1835008;3.Guild.68719643648;4.PM.163848;5.Group.60666589696; ChatPanel1 = 6;22;483;239.8;7 GUI_TutorialFrameVisible = false GUI_MiniMapZoom = 0.842999994755 GUI_NotificationCenterPositionX = 9.0 GUI_NotificationCenterPositionY = 271.800018311 GUI_ChatFrameVisible = true GUI_SocialCenterVisible = true ChatPanel5 = 0;0;525;205 ChatPanel3 = 9;282;400;185;11 ChatPanel4 = -2.4;490.2;400;185;7 GUI_CompanionQuickbarExtended = false GUI_MapFadeTo = 22.7536239624 Show_Chat_TimeStamp = true GUI_QuickslotLockState = true [settings] Movies_SeenMovies = 504 cabf_length = 4 cabf_1 = 257706426368 cabf_2 = -5761229823313707008 VolumeMusic = 27.0289859772 cabf_3 = 57421719883219720 Controls_CameraMaxDistance = 10.648188591 Controls_CameraRotationSpeed = 0.209910005331 cabf_4 = 204 GUI_RaidFramePositionX = 0.0 GUI_RaidFramePositionY = 667.200134277 GUI_RaidFrameMaxHeight = 169.199996948 [settings] LastPlayedShard = Giradda the Hutt LastPlayedShardAddress = he1054n01.swtor.com:8995:castlehilltest If we knew the strings for the key binding values we could more then likely add those to the config file and my guess would be that the game would take local settings over whatever is server-side. ReavetheJ
I wish they did carry over, what I did was screenshot my adjusted ui the copy it onto the new character. I like to have the same keybinds and drop the class skillls in them
thegreebler
yep this is one apect of swtor that i find ungreebly - many other mmo titles seem to make using alts easy... so should this one.
wamalamadingdong
of course it's server-side, otherwise they won't be able to charge us to do it somehow.

Keybindings on the other hand have to be entered every time. It's kinda sucky that the keybindings don't save and import too but at least you don't have to spend time moving around, shrinking/enlarging, and enabling/disabling all of the elements every time. KBerling
Keybindings have to be set per character. End of story. User Interface is different. If you want to use the same UI for all your characters, just get it the way you want it, save it as your Legacy name then load that Legacy named UI for all your characters. Then, anytime you change the Legacy named UI for 1 character, it will change for them all. You can then also move the UI to a completely different computer by copying the GUI file and pasting in the appropriate folder on that other computer.
