"Just Copy and Paste" : Lore-Friendly, Era-Friendly Jedi Vestments Already In-Game

"Just copy and paste" title is a reference to Eric's response about not copy and pasting Obi-Wan's outfit. It's not implying on the presumed easiness of making the robes in the OP available to players. If not Obi-Wan's, then those are the robes which could get copied and pasted since they're already in-game. Edited by Alec_Fortescue

Adaptive versions of Nadia's (Consular companion) and Ashara's (Inquisitor companion) default sets would be much appreciated. (If necessary I'll screenshot them when I get home).

If the resource files are anything like NWN/KotOR resource files it literally is a 5 minute job to create an adaptive version of a whole set.

Two new, lovely additions to the thread. Can't believe Orgus Din was missed! He's wearing apprentice armor with a hooded tabard attachment : )

I like the tabard here. It won't be colorable but it's brown which will let us colour the robes into brown spectrum while leaving the tabard brown, too. Anakin Skywalker robes anyone?

There is also beautiful Nariel from Smuggler's story on Tatooine :]

Bioware did a tremendous job. It turns out there are so many Jedi-like robes not available to players! Damn it, why?

Love this thread, and I have to add these ones:

http://www.starwarsmmolevelingguide.com/wp-content/gallery/jedi-knight-concept-art/jedi-knight-concept01.jpg Dress robes were similar, but these are like hooded Orgus Din robes.

ANY OF THESE THREE!!! (the first two are my personal favorites)

And can I just ask, why are "hoods down" so desired? I've been playing this game for a while now, and personally, hoods on Jedi robes can look awesome, especially on the robes in the first and third links. I get that people want to see their character's head, and some hoods are over large, but still...

Sorry, this isn't a thread for suggesting concept art. It's a compilation of already existing armor in-game. The first image has a similar set with images on this thread.

Sorry this isnt Jedi related, but I would love the see this mask added as an adaptable orange.

Yeah, sorry. This is currently Jedi-only. I may change that in the future, but currently no.

Might be a little off topic here... hmmm...

No concept art, only existing armors that are in-game already.

That one pretty much exists in the game. It's the Jedi Battlelord's armor set, with the hood down. Get a white + pale brown applied and it looks pretty much the same.

Unfortunately, the hood down and the dye itself, as we know, do not exist yet in the game.

Also, unlike the other armors you see in the character creation, the one you mention was always in the game from the very start.

It is, but there are variations of the other character creation armors too and they still released them. That's the point.

Much appreciated, will add these! I'd forgotten that Orgus Din is not the same as some of the others already on here. It is actually unique. I'm not sure they would add an existing NPC armor, when they play that big of a part in the story, but I'll add it anyway.

Yeah, but the Jedi Battlelord set is Heavy armor, aka only for Guardians. Sentinels, along w/ Consulars, can't wear it. The Medium armor equivalent, Jedi Stormguard, exists in the game files, but is not obtainable in game.

With that said, even a lot of Guardians want the character creation armor because it's hood-down.

Haha! Yeah, I can't add it unless it's unedited, though! I think I'd even be okay with that base version, tbh.

Too many chains. I want it edited with them chains and the cloth that hangs from them removed :] Just leave the chest and the stuff hanging below the wait.

I'd be up for any and all of these. Why haven't they made them yet? Apparently, they've developed an allergy to money. :p

I think it's more that they believe they will be more profitable by adding skimpy outfits, because more people wear them.

Problem is, they have no comparison of lore-friendly/skimpy because there are so fewer lore-friendly Jedi sets in the game, and thus whatever they're basing this off of could be tainted. I have no experience in that field, and don't claim to know what goes on at BioWare, that's just a possibility I thought of.

Regardless, as I said, it has ALWAYS been available in the game. The same cannot be said for the others really, at least with all the pieces available and orange at that.

BioWare can judge how popular an item is by how often it is used, bought, etc. To compare the lore-friendly outfits similar to the style of the ones seen on this thread with the skimpy outfits could yield results that are tainted. If there are more skimpy outfits than lore-friendly outfits like these, they would be used more and thus judging what the populace wants based off of this would mislead them.

Tythonian Aspiring Knights vestments have a variant that may or may not actually be an item. On the list is this image of dead Padawan on Tython. This character is obviously not actually an NPC or entity, but a model. I do believe they could have simply turned an actual NPC armor into this model, which is why I'm keeping this on the list.

The reason being this same exact armor is used by other dead Padawan models of different genders and body types, scaling to what looks to be the way it would scale on an NPC/player.

Here are the models I've found:

Male body type 1

Male body type 2

Male body type 3

Male body type 4

Female body type 1

No sign of female body type 2, 3 or 4 anywhere around Tython training grounds.

These images have been added to the OP.

This looks exactly like the stuff Nariel wears except for the crotch flap.

Crotch flap actually looks like it could be on the pants, like that of the Cartel adaptive armor, Last Handmaiden.

It does look more like Jedi Initiate's Advanced Vestments, I'll move it.

How about this green jedi tunic? I don't think I have seen this armor style as an item for the players besides Gus Tano's starter set.

It is currently number 150 in my collected list of misc things for the cartel market. Don't mean to whoar my thread to yours, but I felt this set could be noticed here too.

Is that actually still in-game? I'll add it to the list, looks great. Those graphics look a lot better than what I see in-game, though I've got anti-aliasing turned way down.

Hey guys, thought you would like this Most of the armor concept arts as flash cards.

This is the Jedi Knight's Look at bottom right, 4 to the left. and begining of secrond row on the left

Those two seem like they've made it in-game. The first one you said looks like one I've seen on an NPC, and the second one looks like a hooded "Aspiring Knight's (orange craftable)" armor.
