It's not like the game didn't warn you that it was permanent when you chose your AC. If you want a different AC, roll a new character. From Bioware's point-of-view, this would be a stupid change to make because it would cause people to play less. Now, as it stands, if you want a different AC you need to level up a new toon. That said you (generic "you", not you you) likely didn't make it to 55 or even 50. Not that major of an investment lost to start over. The devs said early on in beta that it *might* be an option, given their lack of follow-up, I wouldn't hold my breath. There are a few threads on this topic monthly, with one that gets necro'd all the time with like 1500 *pages*. The devs have seen it and they remain silent on the topic.
