akdonkey
I am prepairing to sink some cash into a new pc. I have had both in the past. Both seem to work great. I plan to get a 2 gig card which do you think works better on SWTOR and why? I plan to use a Intel Chip set. i7 type.
turjake
I usually get NVidia, but thats because it has a lot better linux drivers. Maybe gamers do choose differently?

Count_Haake
Choose what you want. There are no real reasons to pick a certain brand when using this or that CPU.
AlrikFassbauer
AMD might still have issues with Anti-Aliasing, but apart from that ... Some games are more optimized towards NVidia, other games are more optimized towards AMD ... Edited September 26, 2013 by AlrikFassbauer
Elly_Dawn
NVidia... it's the way it's meant to be played... but really over the years i've had less issues with NVidia, i liked ATi up until a couple years before AMD bought them out... i then switched to NVidia and haven't looked back, happier for it even... metalfenix
My old and rusty Nvidia 460 GTX is still sound and kicking. That card is inmortal lol.
Count_Haake
Some people will tell you they've made better experiences with NVidia all their gaming life, some people will tell you the same about ATI/AMD ;-) So it really depends on what you want to believe. Personally I believe in the fact that AMD usually has a much better cost/performance ratio and additionally often is less power-hungry than comparable NVidia designs. Omisri
To be honest. if you have to ask, then get any. you really wouldn't notice much of a difference between the two if both choices are within the same budget range. Ive been rolling with a 4 yr old ati card and it works great to the point that if i upgraded, id see no improvement or at least too insignificant to warrant spending anything extra
Kahndraga
I am a hybrid, I use an AMD 8350 8 core processor, and NVIDIA 560TI. With plans come February to upgrade to SLI.
