With an insta 60 I always had around 3 to 4 abilities that didn't pop up. They are hidden in your abilities page that you have to manually drag onto your tool bars (think the default key is 'p') whether or not you disabled or enabled the tutorial (That is, if this was what you were having a problem with)

I noticed quite a difference in loading time decrease with a samsung 850 evo 500gb, but the improvement (in my opinion) wasn't worth the money spent. Considering I spend a majority of my time either on the fleet, stronghold, guildship, WZ's, or FP's (areas which take the least amount of time to load anyway) - It wasn't worth it.

SWTOR doesn't work on WiFi, works fine on ethernet connection
Omisri replied to fredickerased's topic in General Discussion
Pretty much this. Had the same problem and found out it was my router. Got another router and worked flawlessly from the other side of the house running on the 5G Signal. Also, Make sure to check the speed in which your PC/Laptop and Router is communicating. Your signal may be at 100%, but the quality of the signal could be what's hindering it -
The animations on it look good. But imho the sound effects are very very poor. Although I was hoping it would of had the same aggressive sound as Kylo's

Old player looking for a PvP oriented guild.
Omisri replied to CQYankee's topic in Tomb of Freedon Nadd
Spectre is a small PvP guild - We have some good players with a variety of different classes and specs that are always willing to help. You don't have to be a good player, as long as you're willing to learn. We have TS, Guild ship, blah blah blah. Guild chat and TS usually full of banter. If interested just send Kemosabi, Kemotabi, Meign, Omisri, Idep a whisper in game -
As above ^

Seems to be some of the European servers. I can log into Jung Ma fine, but TOFN keeps jumping from offline to online and hangs at the loading (log in) screen

Spectre - Do you have what it takes?

Damnit bro, now i'm gonna have to roll on TOFN! -
Kicked for a reason so stupid I had to laugh...

I can't deal - Help me figure out where my system is failing me

Not sure if people use this as an indicator all that much. But if you press ctrl + shift + f, what colour is the fps meter in the bottom left of the screen when it starts to stutter? -
I'd hold off for now. With the recent expansion it's introduced alot of FPS issues. I never used to drop below 50fps on the highest settings. But since the update i can turn the settings to very high or very low and still crawl at 10 - 20 in built up areas and PvP .

Is there any reason as to why this has shield and absorption stats? Last time i checked, a jugg/guardian couldnt duel wield and a mara/sent can't tank

I've tried to search out what this does or if it works yet. This thread is all that pops up in search

BW, thank you for the addtional class story!
Omisri replied to CmdrShpd's topic in General Discussion
I wholeheartedly agree, Granted i have my concerns about other areas of the expansion, but this was almost completely overshadowed by how much i enjoyed the continuation of the story. I fear there is already a lot of negativity on the forums for what they got wrong (or that people felt they got wrong). Credit where credit is due, Bioware should be commended for what, at least in my own opinion, got right. Not too long and not too short but left me wanting for that little bit more. The travel time of the quests on the new planets were a good distance and it felt like a story worth getting involved in. I must admit, i couldn't of given a rats *** about the Makeb story and still don't. If i was going to give the mini expansion a rating out of ten excluding the class and skill point changes, it would hit a solid 6. Points off for the lack of VO's and generic quest collections, along with the unforgiving bugs in the final mission, and quite a long respawn time for npc's (although they are nothing compared to some MMO's). Had the story of fallen flat or been similar to makeb's, i'd of scored it a 4 -
12xp has re-invigorated the game for me. I'll be sad to see it end.
Omisri replied to DarthTHC's topic in General Discussion
I agree, Initially using it to get the achievements, which i wouldn't of attempted had this 12x experience boost not of been in place, I started to notice on my first 12x character that i felt like i could connect with the story a lot more than previously. So much that like you, i played through classes that i had already leveled to 55. It's a shame that it has to end. As having to complete the same planet quests or side quests became intensely frustrating after the first or second play through of the same faction. Plus, as having ideas on how a character can look and the path they would take etc, provokes me to create that character as best as i can match it... Which usually sits idle in my character screen at a very low level, finding it difficult to log in to. Thoroughly enjoyed the 12x reward and hope that it is added as a more permanent choice in the game one way or another. -
SWTOR Novels - will they spoil the game story for me?
Omisri replied to JMadFour's topic in General Discussion
I made a sith character right after reading the book because of Scourge. I enjoyed the Revan book (read it after having several level 55 characters) and it has quite a few elements to it that make you say "AAAHHH So that's why....<enter attention to detail here>". Currently on Deceived and think again that it's pretty enjoyable. Also, i think having rolled a few characters on the imperial side, i wasn't too surprised by the human element of most characters that are sith / imperial. The story in game and also in the books do a good job of blurring the lines between good and evil -
Kicked out of a group for stupid rason thread.

I was kicked and placed on to ignore for using the music therapy probe between fights to replenish hp and force. -
Although there's a few people looking forward to see if we get to level from 55 to 60. I, personally, cringe every time i get a wiff of a level cap increase. Serves myself right for being an alt-oholic. Can't say anything has really gotten me excited in the road map. Apart from the Emp vs Rep stuff starting on starter planets. I'm assuming alot of people (mostly negative posters) are burnt out with new FP's and WZ's in terms of hyping the crap out of it for months for the novelty to wear off after a day or two. Myself included - I would of thought FP's and WZ's would of been slotted in to updates rather than the main focus of. But that's just me. Here's to hoping the two expansions and/or biggest update will provide some new original content. Quality rather than quantity. That my wish for some variable (none static / linear) activities become available.

Every time i look at the cost of coins (specifically the biggest option), i tell myself i could buy a couple of games for that much that probably have better looking armor and vehicles anyway

So tired of people who don't know how to price things on the GTN
Omisri replied to Machshoot's topic in General Discussion
I've been burned and learned my lesson from undercutting an under-cutter. Half asleep i thought i was taking my own down from being listed where in fact i ended up buying the other persons... an item that cost over 4 mill >< Never again -
Bioware, what direction do you see PvP heading?
Omisri replied to cycao's topic in General Discussion
Although i enjoy WZ's, despite how the flavor has been lost after playing the same ones for quite a while now, i personally have an overwhelming sense of my win or loss not contributing to anything other than my comm total and/or rank. From my own POV, i'd love to see a groups win or loss effect something in the outside world. GW2 had an interesting way of boosting xp gains (amongst other things) for the server in WvWvW for the winning servers (forgive me if another game does this also). I'd like to see some interaction with the PvP community and benefiting the PvE community and vise-versa per faction. Even if this was a imp vs rep score board on the fleet to encourage queues. Only problem with that may be the imp vs imp and rep vs rep WZ matches. -
Doesn't quite work the same. Rested xp is for kills. Double XP weekends would double your quest and mission xp also
