JediWill Posted July 1, 2013 Share Posted July 1, 2013 do I have to level all the way up to have dual lightsaber? I am a Jedi Shadow and can't use double lightsaber yet. The Shadow uses a Double-Bladed saber (like Darth Maul), and the Sage (and Guardian) use just the single, one-handed lightsaber. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Either way, if your advanced class uses them (as described in the post above), you should get them when you pick your advanced class (around level 10). Deathstalker_ Posted July 1, 2013 Share Posted July 1, 2013 When you select your Advanced Class, you are automatically given any new proficiencies of the new class. So for your Shadow, choosing the Shadow Advanced Class automatically gives you the Double-Bladed Lightsaber proficiency. So you can use them now. However, you may be having trouble finding one. When you choose your Advanced Class, a green Supply Pack is added to your inventory. There's no indication anywhere that this has happened, so you have to look in your inventory for it yourself. The Supply Pack is like a lockbox: you have to right-click on it to open it. Inside, you'll find any new gear you didn't have the proficiency for with your base class (so the Consular would get a Double-Bladed Lightsaber and a Shield Generator when choosing to become a Shadow). If you don't open this Supply Pack, or you sold it, you will have to rely on random drops, or buy the gear you were supposed to get from a shop. Otherwise, the very act of choosing your Advanced Class should have given you the new gear you're supposed to have. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
orangenkaiser Posted July 1, 2013 Share Posted July 1, 2013 For some reason, if you don't finish the tython story missions, you can't equip an offhand saber. So if you're wondering why it says "Slot is Full" or something to that effect, go back to tython to finish the story there. This is becoming more of an issue with these double experience weekends with people rushing to level 10 and using the fleet pass to pick Sentinel.
