Hello community!

I just wanted to let you know that myself and two others will be doing a 60 hour (at minimum) marathon of the Old Republic from the morning of Dec. 30 to the night Jan. 1 to raise money for the Child's Play Charity (http://www.childsplaycharity.org).

Please check us out on our (very barebones) website: http://www.swtorm.com

Also feel free join our facebook event! https://www.facebook.com/events/336161479732898/

Hope to see you all there, loving the game and donating to a great charity!

Great idea guys, donation made and good luck with doing it for 60 hours! I'm too old now to stay up for 24 hours let alone 60 :D Last time I did a 5 day straight session was when I was 15 :D

Thank you very much! I don't think I've ever done 5 days straight, but I think I'm still young enough to manage 60 hours :)

Don't forget to let folks know that they can donate $5 by phone (text GAMERS to 50555)

Or they can buy toys directly for their local Children's Hospital via Amazon Wishlist.

Look at you with buckets of info. This is all totally true, we'll have to make sure to put it on our website in our next update, thanks!

Beware; People should donate directly and not have it filtered through a paypal style service. Anyone can set up these chipin deals and scam people out of money.

TO the person in charge; do it directly, don't use chipin, there's no reason for them to send you money, and then have you send it; if you're legit, you will skip the middle (Filter) man out of it.

BTW, I do charity work all the time year around.

Behind every smile is a grin.

We definitely understand the concern. Just to clarify, as stated on our website, there is no middle step, all funds donated are going straight into the Child's Play PayPal account. We will never be in contact with any of the donations, neither physically or digitally.

The Child's Play Charity actually specifically recommends online charity events to use ChipIn! (as can be seen here: http://childsplaycharity.org/assets/downloads/childsplay_fundraising_guide.pdf), when you are on the PayPal page making the donation you see the email address your donation is being made to, which can be easily double checked on the Child's Play website (http://www.childsplaycharity.org/).
