DarkJediMage
after 2.0, the deception skill tree had no force cost reduction in thrash and discharge. should i use use the reductions in madness and/or darkness? are the devs going to fix that? i am dps
Gondolindhrim
Yes, it would be a good idea to pick up Torment (and Exploitive Strikes for that matter), especially now that it's in T1 Madness.

CBRGhostRider
BTW, you really don't need to use thrash as (full) deception. VS is your new thrash, and can replace it. It does more- buffs shock to also trigger surging charge, and also hits for a bit more.
Gondolindhrim
Yeah, Torment applies to VS too though, and if he's a PvPer there's a good change he's running 0/31/15 for burst damage.

You shouldn't be having Force issues if you're using Blackout and you're only using Maul when you have Duplicity procced. If you're PvEing, I dunno because I don't, but I'd imagine something like 5/36/5 would do the trick.
DarkJediMage
i am lvl 20, mostly pve, mainly, deception Edited April 24, 2013 by DarkJediMage
Ottoattack
5/36/5 seems the way to go for deception PvE. PvP may be a bit different. I most likely use sith defiance over torment and there is a lot of points in deception tree that most likely more useful than thrashing blades. For PvP I am more inclined towards 3/37/5, build http://www.swtor-spy.com/skill-tree-calculator/sith-assassin/11/?build=000300000000000000000000000000000322230221102030221022000212001003200000000000000000000000000000&ver=20.
