If you are cybertech, or have some cash, you can make/buy your own armorings and mods. Slap them in the formal wear you get from the social vendor on coruscant. The only Trooper sets that don't look like pyjamas come at lvl 19+. 'Till then, i suggest running Esseless for the chest and Republic Trooper pieces for the rest.
