HammerHermann
I read that Daniel Erickson has "left the building". Lead writer for swtor. What's your thoughts? Could this be a good thing?
Mavery
Considering the storylines have been subpar (particularly on the Republic side) I don't see this as a glaring negative. Up until TFB, even the Op storylines have been mediocore.
DarthOvertone
Probably wasn't down for writing product placement into the storylines after F2P. Either way it can't be a good thing if what you heard is true, since Story has been one of the true bright spots of this game so far.
Lionflash
Source? Not that I doubt you, just curious if there is an article. This is bad news for anyone wanting some continuation for the 8 class stories.

deucexmachina
The people that made BioWare are leaving, one and all it seams, leaving only the name to EA. Any more stragglers? I had already pointed out to CS that the interns were doing the dev work with 1.4. Guess I was right
ProsaicProse
Fresh blood, fresh perspective may not be a bad thing. The ability to write and do so well isn't limited to one person, or a handful of people.
Muwarr
Good luck to Daniel. I hope he lands something good soon. This does not bode well for maintaining their schedule for new content in the near future.

Listerman
I remember reading about this MONTHS ago.
errant_knight
Its not just the lead writer who left. They laid off most of the other writers, including the guy who wrote the sith warrior story, which is one of my favorites. Laying off writers for a story driven game can only be a very, very bad thing.
theborch
I think the only real detail to pull from this story is on either his twitter, or linked in, I can't remember which, he made a statement "Job hunt thought: If you think a monetization approach is the same thing as a game idea I don't know why we're talking." It just lends credit to the idea that all future game ideas are being geared towards how to make money instead of what will make the game better. I'm going to stick it out until F2P hits, but I am preparing myself for the worst. For those of you who still have fun, keep playing and let's all hope nothing changes for the worse.
