Why Palpatine's Empire hated non human races so much?

By the time of Bane, the ancient Sith race was pretty much gone and we can see the Sith under Rule of Two accept Iktotchi, Twilik, Bith, Muun and Zabrak. How come Palpatine started to hate non humans after he became Emperor? It brought him no benefit at all.

Story reason: ......

LucasArts reason: Because everyone knows bad guys are racist sexists.

I'm almost certain that in the book "Plageus" (sp?) it gives a hint of palpatines dislike of non humans. But remember, as a sith he has a total disregard for any life but his own. He would only tolerate people as long as they were useful. Which is why Thrawn, Maul and Xizor were able to obtain their positions.

Here is my theory on the matter.

Humans are by far the most populace species in the galaxy. So much so, that I would hazard to say that Human beings outnumber all other races combined (in the Republic/Empire anyways) by 2:1.

It's a simple matter of logistics. You can try and create policies that benefit all of these different species all with their own ideologies and principles, or you can simply unite 2/3 of the galaxy under one broad system, and make the other third a scapegoat (a la Jewish people and gypsies during the third reich).

It's far easier to unite a majority of the people against a minority, than to unite everyone together.

Somebody else said it best, Palpatine looked down on EVERYBODY including humans. Long as you were workable for his plans he used you. Minute you were not needed, he disposed of them.

And Palpatine kept to the rule of 2 sith. He just created inquisitors, Dark side Devotees, and such. Not sith, but dark side users he could bend to his will.

He kept to the rule of two. But the funny thing is. Palpatine knew about the Yuuzhan Vong back before the clone wars.

Infact if you read Rogue Planet, you find out that Obi-wan and Anakin went to Zoama Sekot and fought off the vangaurd of the Vong, not too long after Obi-wan took on Anakin as his padawan.

If you didn't know, he created the empire and all of that for the eventual day they showed up.

Because everyone knows bad guys are racist sexists.

that's pretty much it right there... bad guys in fiction do bad things for one reason... they are the BAD guys... common if they didn't do tons of "evil" things than the good guys would have no reason to oppose them and that wouldn't make it very interesting

besides "racism" is one of the big and easy traits that almost every person will associate as evil in their opinion on morality so it's an easy one for writers...

story wise it makes perfect sense as a tactic to consolidate power to a smaller specific group...

not totally correct,,, the Vong scouts were fought off before Obi-wan arrived there which is why Vergere wasn't there because she has left with them in order to stop their attack... and while Palpy did have clues and a broad sense that the Vong invasion would come one day (part of his reasoning behind recruiting Thrawn and sending him back into the unknown regions with a taskforce) his plans for creating the empire were already made and set long before he knew about any of it and it was far from the only or even a major reason he was doing it

Wasn't Thrawn the only person that actually told Palpatine he wouldn't do something to Palpatine's face and get away with it (granted after someone else attempted to do what Palpatine originally ordered and failed miserably a few times), because Palpatine finally recognized that when Thrawn said something was a bad idea, he needed to listen to Thrawn.

That's because Thrawn, the ONLY non-human to reach the rank of Grand Admiral in the Imperial Navy, was so competent that Palpatine asked him for tactical advice..... and probably how to pick up women, too. :D
