need pvp armor advice (new 50)

Hi all, just dinged 50 and am valor rank 50. I bought my mainhand saber and was wondering if I should go for the offhand or a piece of armor first? Statwise both are a big upgrade, but i dont know if an offhand would make a big difference or not. I switch between carnage and annihilation

The general consensus is:

 

Get the heavy (Jugg) Vindicator armor set and pull the mods out. It's better optimized for PvP.

so buy 2 vindicator sabers? they arent slot specific as wh armoring?

The Vindicator lightsabers are Mainhand only. Buy one, put it in your mainhand. Buy the second one, rip the mods/enhancement/crystal/hilt out and put it in an orange offhand lightsaber. None of those are slot specific.
