WildmanUK Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Hello, I have seen flame sweep used as a major part of peoples AoE tanking rotation, but currently do not have this skill. Currently lvl 21. I was wondering what level do Powertechs unlock Flame Sweep? Thanks. WildmanUK
Ogrezilla Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I think its 24 or 25. If you go to your trainer you can change one of the dropdown menus to show all of your abilities so you know when you will learn everything.
WildmanUK Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Right thanks. Knew you could show future stuff for crafting but didnt realise you could show do the same at class trainers. Will check it out later. Thanks. WildmanUK
mcpatriot Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 If you go to your trainer and ask them to show you "all" powers instead of just available ones, you can find it there. Also, torhead is a great resource.
Geekcheck Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Flame Sweep is acquired at level 14. The reason why many tanks use it, is it being useful for AoE threat, can be specced to reduce the damage of targets hit by 4%, have its critical chance increased by 30% and critical damage increased by 30%.

Sucks not having much in the way of AoE threat.
Elicas Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Until then DFA and Flamethrower work well enough.

Flame Sweep is a lvl 22 Abbility and before you have Flame Burst that reduces the damge of the target but is only single target. Before 22 flamethrower is nice, if youcan get of the channel and position the mobs that they all get hit. Alternative you can keep aggro up by tabbing the targets and flameburst them, this should work as long as DPS focuses on one target.
