Lugh
It has to be the game thats causing this framerate. i have a better computer than my friends (even though its not that great) as he is runnung a and he has a core two duo 2.7ghz? and nvidia 9800 or something 1gb. Anyway he can run the game in battle grounds without anyframerate lag whatsoever with his settings on lowest possible. i can run my settings on medium/high when im leveling no problem, its just when i get into bg's that it turns unplayable. ive turned all my graphics settings to the lowest possible, resolution on 1280x720, fullscreen. ive tried updating .net, closing ALL background services, including windows explorer, reg defrags. everything. still the framerate continues. meanwhile my friend has like 10 programs running while playing. any suggestions? fml ohh yes and i port forwarded on my router and am running the game as admin and disabled all audio in the bg's double fml ok. my basic specs. Lugh
Sorry but for a laptop this is nothing at all good for this game. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz or better, the game likely is not seeing the i7 1.6 as adequate. even thought that is /better/
christopherxxx
i had the same problems as all of you. Perfectly fine fps and no lag when questing, but the second i did a warzone it was simply unplayable. I would lag so bad that when i died i couldn't revive and ended up getting booted! Turns out that my battery settings were on "power saver" as soon as i switched it back to high performance, i had very little lag at all. Then when i turned shadows off i had none what-so-ever. So if you're running a laptop make sure it's set for high performance. this is a small help - but i get the same problem with settings reduced / off and power still at high. Personally i wish i hadn't wasted the £40 for the game and can't wait for pandaria so can go back to the vastly superior warcraft : - )
Dmasterr
Naga please. I run a top of the line gaming pc , i get maxed out fps 110 everywhere ALONE, busy fleet ~10-20, WZ 40~ -60~ fps, and people still stutter, teleport, fall trough terain only to teleport somewhere else etc etc. UNACCEPTABLE ! "*****" game engine is ***** Edited March 23, 2012 by Dmasterr
exphryl
I play with Shader Complexity Very Low now (newest graphic option) Makes a whole lot of difference with this badly optimized engine.
Ozzone
Turning shadows off is not a fix.
gantusa
i believe u all didnt play Wow at begining dont blame the dev team it will get better sooner or later
Rikeryo
I sure do blame the dev team. it's 2012. turning on shadows in this game means -30% fps. as soon as shader effects like blasters/turret fire/lightsabers (WZs/Ilum) show up it's another -50% fps. I don't *********** care if it's going to be better sooner or later. this is not acceptable. this is pathetic. Shredbull
To get decent fps you need a 1500$ rig AT LEAST.
