Lithy
I'm leveling a Guardian tank atm, and while it's not finished I really want to play a mobility spec focused more around around protection and disruption than DPS as I main a DPS... I was wondering if a build like this would be PvP viable? Or something similar, as I said it's not at cap yet and I'll need to obviously grind out BM gear on this char but theoretically, with the proper gear. Could this be useful? Or any insight variation on it would be helpful too. http://www.swtor-spy.com/skill-tree-calculator/guardian/17/?build=021200231213120202100320000000000000000000000000000000002220200201000000000000000000 Edited April 25, 2012 by Lithy
Haldern
I think it would be a perfectly viable spec, if you are dead set on playing a build with Zealous Leap in. However, it wouldn't be the best possible spec to play for heavily defense orientated. If you are going to go for a build like this I would personally go for something for like: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#500RrGduzrzcZMZGd0Mz.1 Just remember you are sacficing potential damage and utility for a lackluster short range gap closer, when we already have plenty of good gap closers. DaSmisker
If you ask me, you cannot say you want mobility in PvP and then forego Unremitting. That skill is crucial, absolutely crucial in PvP. The concept of mobility is confounding. You can have all the talents in the world to make you move often or fast, but if you get knocked back as soon as you close in to do damage - what was the point? Thus Zealous and Agility training are of limited use if you ask me. Arguably, reducing CD on Push (to get leap again) and Unremitting, those are the talents that define Guardian mobility on the battlefield.
