Have you seen maras/sorcs lately?

Guys, they are really OP. Reps been loosing WZs for 10 hours today. Maras are so much more powerful than other classes they actualy overdamage anything atm and can tank just as well as jugs and when they take too much damage they just vanish. It's just insane, I've been trying to win 1 Wz for a whole day. Seriously, can we get some balancing done? Edited by Carousel_t

Same, about 10 hours, won 2 warzones today.

Funny, they were both same fraction matches.

Yawn. Maras/ sents are only overpowered when played by good players against bad/average players. L2P before running to the forums with your tail between your legs crying for a nerf.

You have the same classes on your faction, you just arent as skilled.

 

It's the same on Namadii Corridor, as Imperials we stomp the crap out of republic players every time we match up against them. Pub players are terrible. When I go against other imperial teams though, it's much more difficult.

Interesting contribution to the discussion. Now if you could only make sense...

 

I'll simplify it for you then... Maras/sents are so overpowered that only a really bad player would have even a remote challenge dominating every other class.

Lol, more like bad players like you think that Maras/sents are "so overpowered". As I said, learn to play before running to the forums with your tail between your legs.

 

Learn to kite, root, slow. Learn to cc sents before their big attacks. Bad players will always cry, one month against sorcerers, the next against assassins and maras.

I really love seeing 3 button specialists complain about how OP marauders are. They are an incredibly difficult class to play well. If someone is bad and playing a marauder then you should be able to tell pretty damn fast. As long as we're talking about removing abilities to "Balance" classes, why don't we remove in-combat vanish from OP's and Assassins as well? Damn that's annoying to deal with.

 

I honestly don't understand what the **** is wrong with you people crying for nerfs. Assuming marauders ARE overpowered (which they aren't if you learn to play your class and how to deal with them. Hint: KITE FROM ABOVE) why aren't you asking for buffs instead?

 

So you PVP and got butthurt by Marauder survivability. I guess a melee range DPS class should shatter into a million pieces the second anyone attacks them? What about operations? I suppose we should have absolutely nothing that's a reliable way to soak one or two hits from a boss? It isn't like this ability makes us immortal. It's FIVE seconds. That's it. If you're having a problem with marauders because of five whole seconds then you aren't using your abilities right. Are you an operative with a marauder on top of you? Well seeing him pop undying rage is a perfect time to pop a defensive cooldown and start healing yourself. Or simply vanish and wait for it to die off then insta-gib him.

 

Seriously people, ya'll are acting like there's nothing you can do against a marauder. Well you might not like hearing it, but the fact is Marauders did not change that much in the patch. Were the changes we got good? Yeah. Absolutely. But were any of them game breaking? No.

 

We had every one of those abilities before 1.2. I find it incredibly suspicious that you're only now noticing them now that so many people have jumped on the "Marauders are OP" bandwagon.

Lol this is funny, there are tons of bad maras and sents that I poop on with all of my toons and when it comes to a good one I just have to use all of my tools, defensive cooldowns and for god sake just knockback or vanish or just run away from a master strike/ravage its like you guys are all sorcs trying to face tank a mara/sent and wonder why you're losing

This, I hate Sentinals/Marauders now, but a bad one is so easy to kill because they use their CD's wrong.

 

The problem is that a good one can win a 2v1 and only lose half their health. The bigger problem is a bad one can suck and still take away half my health. BTW, try kiting when all your strong attacks need to be in 4m, you have no roots, and you only carry two CC both of which are immediately broken on damage. Yeah, PT vs. Mara is a flat out dps race. If I make a mistake I die, if they make a mistake I sill might die, and if they are absolutely horrible than I should be able to kill them just before I die.

 

Only people saying Maras/Sents aren't too strong on this patch are the Maras/sents and those who rely on them to win a WZ. Even the Maras and Sents on my team laugh at how fast they can wreck just about everyone. It's considered OP when you aren't worried about anyone killing you.

I definitly understand they're stronger but they can still be bested and people who cry nerf just don't know how to adapt, that is all

I rolled a marauder and now I win easily. I guess rolling a marauder made me "learn to play"?

Actually, quite a few of us figured out that maras/sents have been the strongest class in the game for several patches now. And with each patch slightly buffing them (and nerfing their strongest counters), they're left as the undisputed kings of the hill now.

No youre still bad your just playing against people that try and face tank you while not using any defensive cooldowns or knockbacks and roots

Complaining about Mara/Sent I can understand - a well played one is incredibly hard to beat - but if you cant kill a sorcerer of any spec in their current state, quit and uninstall the game.

 

Thanks to the QQ bridage, Sorc/Sages got hit with the bat. Keep it up, the Mara/sents will get their turn eventually.

My only arguement was if you have to cry nerf for any class youre terrible, I can't control with bioware does all I know is I personally can kill maras and sents on all of my toons even my scrapper scoundrel, but people just cry nerf because they don't use keybinds, keyboard turn, backpedal and mouthbreath while face tanking maras and using no tools, that's my arguement, I said yea they're stronger now but they can still be beaten

 

BTW I'm not even a mara/sent, I'm a scrapper scoundrel and balance shadow

Do you even know what our strongest/hardest counter parts are?

I guess not, cause they haven't gotten any nerf in a long time.

Nor do they need to, i like the idea of having a counter part,

one that's good at taking me down, while im good at taking another down.

 

But as far as i have been reading, we have plenty of nerfs coming up, so just give us a break till they arrive. mm?
