commando DPS is 26-28% lower then rest

so my guild run som test and run the new OPS and and we test it on test dummy to commando is 1050-1100 DPS and all other class is over 1400 DPS wed easy - and yep we all got full gear so - and the max DPS on dummy and in OPS wer - Sentinel - 1543 DPS stedy -- BIO need to look in to thes class in som way

Some more information would be great; how long did you test for? How many of each class? What kind of rotation or priority system did you use? What spec? without this info it is just screaming human error at me, sorry

I'm not sure about this either. The only DPS abilities that got nerfed for us were grav round and charged bolts. For gunnery the increased proc chance for full auto and buff to demo round would seem to make up for this as full auto (especially if proc'd by CoF) always did more damage than grav round. I don't know much about assault specialist though so that tree's DPS might have taken a hit.

There are threads out there saying that Sage dps and tested Sniper/gunslinger dps is lower now this class? Im thinkin its a work on the rotation thing cause all of these dps classes cant cant be all low at once

LOL. Commando DPS is one of the best performing classes out there. You're doing it wrong. All the testing I've seen shows Commando and Vanguard just under Marauder/Sentinel and everything else is way behind.

So basically the Commando (I'm guessing you) now has energy management problems and can't hold a good rotation, therefore lowering DPS significantly, because lolz at 1050 DPS

I can confirm that my alt who is a commando does approximately 1200-1300 on the commando, with no other debuffs other than my own. Since replaced a few pieces, so Im gonna go test now. Each time I tested, the fight was for 5-6 minutes.

 

Last night in SM EC, I was consistantly the highest damage. Measure 1000 DPS on TnZ and the tank bosses. That being said, we were learning the fights, so DPS was not our main focus.

Demo Round - 55 500 - 17%

HiB - 32 000 - 10%

HS - 22 000 - 7%

Trinket - 7 000 - 2%

Mortar Volley - 5 000 - 1.5%

 

Total DPS time was 258 seconds. DPS was 1 242.

 

Full raid buffed. No adrenal, no other debuffs. Im testing some **** out, but as of right now, people will need to have HS in their rotation. Peak DPS was around 1300 though, bit of a drop off at the end when I wanted to get out of combat.

Yeah Bioware not found goods "Windows Calculator Operator Specialist (Senior)", but it's understandable, ppl with skills to use a calculator are rare to find.

i have a 38 commando, i'm upset because i just did two or three warzones and the rotations i used when i was 33 which net me 150-180 k damage per wz got me 65 k - 85 k, 100 k less that's a complete gimp of lower level commando's.. what commando is going to level up, if they like pvp when the dps is just awful.. it's not good. they gimped everything dps commandos did besides the curtain of fire thing. which is cool i guess.,. but i dont have demolition round.

 

I'm mad, why should i have to quest to 40 to be able to do decent dps again? people aren't going to level dps commando because of this. and ***, thanks for buffing sentinels out the wazoo, theyre unkillable for me now. I was owning them before, this sucks.

I found the complete opposite of this in "real" raid DPS charts after Denova where target switching and snap management come into play. Put up a screenshot of your findings please.

For anyone that cares. In SM 8 man these were the DPS figures for our raid. Take these with a grain of salt, as when we are learning fights, people are not as switched on to their DPS rotation as with farmed Bosses.

 

Toth and Zorn:

 

Myself: 963 DPS

Sent: 865 DPS

Sage: 858 DPS

Sent: 857 DPS

 

Stormcaller Firebrand:

 

Myself: 1016 DPS

Sent: 1016 DPS

Sent: 888 DPS

Sage: 772 DPS

How in the world did those dps numbers not result in an enrage?

 

This is enough to get by, keep in mind the battles are split and there is AOE to dodge and control and things like that. If you just stand a spam damage at a dummy your numbers will always be better than in "real" environments.

What he was asking is how did such low numbers not get the raid wiped because of the enrage timer. To take down Toth+Zorn or whatever their names are we had to sustain about 4k dps across the entire fight, which takes into account the amount of time lost because of the bosses switch mechanics and such. That means that when actively dps-ing the raid has to sustain around 5k. This is on Story-mode. On HM you'd have to sustain around 6k while fighting. If you don't, the raid wipes. The enrage on these guys is brutal.

The 4 DPS on Toth and Zorn were putting out 3543 DPS and he didn't list the tank damage, which 500 DPS from a tank isn't honestly that unreasonable, which puts them at 4k DPS across the raid , and unless otherwise stated I'm going to assume that that DPS includes the time spent during tank swaps, so seems his numbers are about right.
