But all the other classes prettymuch had enough changes to warrent getting a free respec, that the devs probly just found it easier to give us one as well. Bioware did comment in the Commando forum. They only reset the talents if the tree had changes like an ability being removed or moved up or down a tier, or somrthing that used to cost 2 points now cost 3, etc. Commandos had a lot of abilities changed, but the layout of the trees themselves didn't change.
