Why would Wookie and Trandoshan be implemented as their own classes?

I don't see why they couldn't be implemented as a full race. It's not like they require a whole set of voice-acting, besides, you already have the voice package done for most of the aliens.

Because the entire storyline would unfold considerably differently. That's why one of the prevailing theories is that the more less-human species will be introduced as one or more unique classes. Another is that the will be released alongside eight alternate class storylines. Either way, it is unlikely for these species to be introduced before the game's first full expansion.
