They are a horrible idea to begin with and it's tiring constantly removing them. I've let them stay and all they do is pile up, so that to me means they aren't doing their job. That being said, I'm not sure why you're getting separate cookies for each page on the forum. I don't think that's normal as I don't get behavior.
