Adv Proto PvP and maybe PVE

So with slight nerf to pyro and wanting to have more survivability in ranked, trying out Adv. Proto. Thinking of this:

Trying now before patch. What's rotation and stuff? It's not as smooth as pyro and powertech is more tankish.

 

Also, i dont' care about max dps, but is it viable for HM Op's? (I have tried Parakeet in HM's and it's less (based on that one fight befor SOA in EV) but does OK enough). So all i'm looking for is will it be OK enough. Is it better then parakeet/

Kolto Vents is a terrible talent, and Advanced Tools is amazing. I'd put the 1 point from Kolto Vents into Advanced Tools so that you max out its effect 2/2.

 

Gyroscopic Alignment Jets isn't really needing because Prototype Cylinder Ventilation is amazing. I'd put those two points into Prototype Burn Enhancers because you want that 6% extra fire crit (Immolate and Flame Burst are bread and butter abilities).

 

3% Endurance while somewhat noticeable isn't going to give you more than around 500 or so health if you are wearing DPS gear. That's one white damage attack. I'd suggest you put those into Intimidation instead in the Shieldtech tree for 6% more fire damage.

I agree with Mapex on most points.

 

Currently Kolto Vents is pretty useless, but is getting replaced with a 30% snare that goes with retractable blade, and in PvP that's going to be something you want.

 

Prototype Cylinder Ventilation is so good that a free rocket punch isn't going to be too meaningful. HO and the HEGC speed boost will let you close gaps and LoS ranged rather well, so a CD reduction shouldn't be a big deal since you won't have to use it as much.

 

I'd recommend taking the extra 9% aim for some extra damage too.

As for me I will put those 2 points from reduced stuns to the free rocket punch.. Why? Because I waited for the damn buff, to NEVER EVER use rapid shots again!
