  1. BS. PT tank is weakest tank in PvP. Medals/kills don't matter. You get medals for dumb crap and you get kills for barely hitting something. I can take out a PT tank much faster then Jugg and esp Sin. Many ranked teams will run multiple Sin tanks cause of how good they are. Most won't even bring 1 PT tank and if they do It's just 1, not multiples.
  2. What rank are these top ranked Pyro's? Just curious, most 2.2k+ pyros I know run the 7/3/31 and run 98% accuracy, cause if you miss with RS your biggest hitter, that's a huge drop in DPS. Also what's your crit chance? EDIT: BTW I believe you're wrong in the stack power over aim and saying aim shouldn't be above 1500. Aim>Power ESPECIALLY without 9% aim from ST tree. And it still is substained since aim gives to damage and crit. So all Augments should be aim. Obviously I agree all mods should be the 51aim/39 power since loosing 13 aim for 27 power is better, but I'm like 1615 unbuffed, 1915 with 6% aim/stim, I'm still unsure of your spec not having the 6-9% aim.
  3. I'm surprised you guys didn't know. Maybe because you can do Ilum dailies now. Back in Beta/Dec begining of January (BTW this bug was reported in Beta and not fixed till Jan) if you choose Dark Side at end, you couldn't get the Ilum dailies. They then added the Ilum dailies in Jan, but never fixed the login screen issue. So I'm wondering if they will test this, cause they had to Manually add the Ilum quests for us. Gonna suck if xpac lands and we can't move forward.
  4. OK so supposedly a new xpac is coming increasing lvl to 55. I'm assuming there is some story quests involved. I choose dark side option back in Dec when I leveled my BH which was bugged if you did that (meaning you couldn't get the Ilum dailies). Now BW has "fixed" the ilum issue but I still don't have an epilogue log in screen, it still says i'm on Chapter 3 even tho I'm finished. In the process of making this new story line, will they test for those of us "stuck" like this will be able to do our story quests day 1? or as I fear are we gonna have to ticket it and won't be able to story quest for a couple days.
  5. I disagree, you get that 8 heat when rooted also. I've gone from 100% heat to 30% in a few seconds in PvP because of that. I take the 2 points in that over rapid venting. You do need 2 points in one or the other to go up the tree (i mean who really chooses degauss).
  6. There is an AP sticky. Basically to do most DPS you go CGC but you're heat management is a *****. To not worry about heat but do a bit less dps, HEGC.
  7. 98% accuracy, 30% crit, 76% surge then aim>power by a little bit, so if you can trade said 1 aim to gain 1.2 power do that. Like I have all the 53aim/43 power (or w/e it is) over the 64 aim 12 power, now you do have to take into account the endurance loss but meh. 2 implants and 2 enhancements will get you 97.9% accuracy which is close enough to 98%, rest enhancements power/surge or crit/surge with the lower endurance. Again you have to decide if more endurance or not. Obviously if NORSE AP then no accuracy at all.

  9. Um spec into bursting flame and target is already on "fire" so your refunded 8 heat with RS, you don't need that and is wasted for DPS purposes.
  10. No advice on pre 50 pvp gear/stat prioritization. You will be 50 soon enough just pvp'ing. As for Snipers/GS in HB. Kite around pillars on the fire you can LoS and make them stand up. If you don't see their cover mechanic you can Nueral then Grapple. Without HO they will just knock you back. I really dont' have an issue with them as Hybrid because of HO. They will tear you apart if you can't LoS, make them get up out of cover.
  11. Who's to say what's best for you? Play what you enjoy. Even tho I believe that PT tanks are worst tank class for pvp, play it if you enjoy it. For dps, I love the Hybrid for PvP. I get HO/PFT and PPA. I don't get the 6%/9% aim, but meh. I won't hit 5k RS but i'll hit 4.2k. I'll crit 2.4k on my PFT on multiple targets. I can ball carry in a pinch, and when not ranked Ball Carry most of the time because of HO. For max Burst, 7/3/31 because TD with RS combo hits so hard. You will pump out the DPS for sure. AP straight up is OK. It's less DPS then either just because HEGC is terrible compared to CGC. You can run AP in CGC but the heat management in PVP is terrible. So I've played all parakeet (before it was rendered moot), Iron fist, Pyro, AP, Ap/Pyro, Tank. Graned most before 1.3. Each a week or 2 of games. And I loved AP pre 1.2 (always getting HB every match only reason), I loved Pyro always, and right now I love the Ap/Pyro hybrid.

  13. Why when you jump to me i hit HO so your push doesn't work (depends on situation/map/etc) but yeah. It's the one hybrid spec I'm really loving. I used to parakeet and even tho it was decent, not like this hybrid.
  14. Just an FYI, the 4pc PVP bonus is better then the PVE bonus, only about 1.1% (for just RS attacks) but still, for the Min/Maxer the PvP with Black Hole armoring would be better (since the aim/endurance is same from BH and Camp).
  15. If you look there are many posts here regarding the Hybrid AP/pyro. YOu have choices, I wouldn't take a point out of PPA but that's me, I'd take it out of CG. You have a few points to move based on you're preference but the general spec is go up pyro enough for at least 2/3 ppa and HO in AP.
  16. Not everyone get's the 9%, Agent is easier because it's a tier 1, PT's it's tier 2. Most Pyro's get 6%, most Ap's get 0%. Either way, from what I've seen when your MS is over 2k-2.1k power starts to become better. TBH without the 9% they are within 0.46% of each other (that's taking into account 1000 base damage before adding 14 augments of MS or power, sitting at 1841 MS to calc the crit % per MS point). Even with 9%, they are still within 0.97% of each other (base 1000, MS 1841). So they aren't ALWAYS better. You can hit MS 2k-2.1k pretty easy. And even if it's not 2.1k and 2.5k eventually in future xpac's you'll be able to hit that, and power will start to be better. Esp without the 9% and probably higher with the 9%, but because of DR on the crit it will happen.
  17. Did you read my later posts? I agreed that MS>power because of the base damage until MS > 2.1k. BTW you're wrong, there is a cap on Crit from rating and from Main Stat, 30% each. And the DR is so ridiculously hard for Rating around 20% there's no point past that and you can't get enough main stat to get over 15% from main stat (at this point).
  18. Only viable Hybrid right now is Ap/Pyro. Pyro/Ap both strong. NOw i've always said Play what you love but tank tree is not that strong in pvp (you will get many Pt's defending it for some reason) but it's the weakest tank in pvp (vs jugg/sin) but very strong in pve.
  19. agreed. I would like to see 50% reduction to outgoing damage. Can't tell you how many times i'm at 50% hp they are at 25% they pop it, and i stun, they break it, and i'm dead before their shield comes down.

  21. Or Make HEGC that much better and keep all the heat/movement benefits. Right now it Blows Chunks, srsly. I agree AP needs a tweak here or there, but not too much. HEGC buff and yeah maybe CG adds another 20% to FT. But it doesn't need a huge tweak or 5-10 changes. Just 2 changes would probably be OK.
  22. Um 50% of something isn't half, it's 50% (which I know 50% is half, but you're doubling the base and saying you should be doing 3k-3.6k but that's 100% not 50%). Like How do i show this, ok so let's say your surge is 50% and base is 1k. So without PFT your crits should be 1.5k, ok simple. With PFT your base is now 1.5k, (1k base plus 50% more, which is 500), now add the 50% surge, is 2.25k. If it was 100% then yes it should be half (ie base is now 2k, 50% surge is another 1k = 3k, which is double none PFT), 50% makes it 50%, (1.5k crit for base * 50% for PFT is 2.25k, another way of looking at it is add half of the base crit, so base crit is 1.5k, half is 750, 1.5+750=2.25k). Hope I explained this better.

  24. Well you can't if you want Max Damage. OK the question is, do you want max damage or NORSe build or what? Did you look at the sticky about AP in this forum? If you don't run in HEGC you pick up the CG/Hamstring by default, and the tibetan candle, I would take the 2 points out of shield tree and put into the slow on CGC proc, but that's me. If you want max damage taht's how you run CGC, but if you want good heat management with more DPS then you go AP with the ST in HEGC, and if you want more Aoe/Survival/no heat issues you go NORSE. I've run em all for a week-2 each. I've run full pyro. Iron fist, parakeet (before it was nerfed), ap/pyro hybrid. I run about 10-30 games a day when I'm on. Pyro is awesome but boring. AP is awesome but seems to shine more in HB and it's burst is lower then full pyro, also if you want to maximize it's potential you have to run in CGC and the heat management part of that is insane, in PvP i didn't like it. NORSE is very fun in PvP, but it's burst is even lower (not by much) then Max DPS AP. Personally right now I'm loving the AP/Pyro hybrid. Free RS's, Free RP's, spam FB, heat management with PPA and free RP's, still get PFT and it's huge unload in AOE situations. HO Shines like a mofo in HB. I just single handed won a HB this morning. Scoring all 3, and preventing them from scoring 4 times with Pulls into fire. Shorter CD on Grapple is good. It also shines in AOE, be on a healer, get your 5 stacks find a group of 2+ run there, pull healer, pop HO, PFT, sometimes carbonie before hand. Seeing ticks of 1.2-2.5 per is awesome and you really put preasure on the healer to decide who he/she is going to keep from dieing. But that's just me. Play what you love, even if you gimp yourself by going PT Tank (weakest tank in PvP, but very strong in PVE). So if you love full AP look at the sticky uptop and go from there.
  25. Um to all of you knocking RS in deep AP. The numbers show running an AP RS build is max DPS for AP. Sure a NORSE build doesn't have to worry about heat, but if you want max DPS you want an AP RS build. And that means for PVE. Just pointing it out. Not sure AP really needs any changes TBH. The ones they made in 1.2 are awesome. And the hybrid Ap/Pyro is really Awesome. Spammable FB with slow, free RP, PPA proc's, running in CGC (cgc is just 100x better then HEGC), PFT on a group of dudes ticking for 1.2-2.4k, and unlike WoW no reduced damage no matter how many in that group. Watching 3 out of 5 die from the AoE is awesome. Ahh that reminds me, the 1 change AP needs is a buff to HEGC. CGC is just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better that if you can manage the heat, run in CGC as full AP.
