For the love of god, please! I know you too have sat there instinctively clicking your speeder only to see that stealth message...then having to unstealth, and then click your speeder.

A minor inconvenience, but one that makes zero sense. It is inconsistent with other stealth removing mechanics.

I agree, there are lots of abilities that break stealth.

There's just no reason behind this.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that this is one of the many on a long list of items that they just haven't gotten around to.

I would think it intentional , to stop you recovering health or mounting before breaking stealth

The suggestion being that they'd take you out of stealth.

 

However, the requirement to FIRST exit stealth and then to use the ability has an effect on PvP. As you can't use these abilities in combat, there's an opportunity to attack someone before they can use them - affording the opportunity to get on to someone before they have a chance for any healing or to get on their speeder.
