Lyphe Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Got to that first wave of zombies ... guessing its a boss ... and trying to figure out if we are missing a mechanic. There is a gun and that delayed detonator, and a ******** of zombies. Is there anything special to that fight, or is it just ... stay alive and kill zombies? Oathivion Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 We had some issues at first too, but it's easy once you figure it out. You had to activate the detonator and hold off the waves of Plague bringers. What we did was we had the tank on the cannon and the dps on the mobs while heals(I) stood back and healed them. Iwipe Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 As soon someone get on that turret, the waves begin to spawn. Hit the detonator as well. Ideally you want a melee dps on the turret to mow down the normal mobs and then focus on the strong ones. Tank, healer and ranged dps gather around the turret and kill any mobs that get near the turret. Watch out for infected mercenary and bloated mobs. The bloated guys should be killed away from the group, especially on hardmode. Mecenaries need to be interrupt or they will perm stun one of your group members. zDracor Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 On hard mode, tank on the gun pretty much solo's the entire encounter. Just sit your ranged DPS/healer at the back near the crashed ship so everything has to funnel towards that one direction, and your tank doesn't even need to turn the cannon, it'll just splash everything down. BMBender Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) also good idea to clear out camps near it as in case you miss a popper and get blowed the *** over onto another camp thus making the fight a tad more interesting.
