pauldevries
I have a level 25 vanguard and when reading the forums i see reference to explosive surge and stealth scan. I assume these are things you get at a higher level than 25? If not, how does one use the stealth scan and do people use it a lot? Thanks in advance Brisket
Guurzak
Comes at higher level. When you activate, it gives you a ground-target template (as with Mortar Volley), and wherever you place the stamp any stealthers will be revealed for a few seconds. Definitely use it frequently in PVP environments.
Lynkilen
Use it to scan for stealthies and for disco lights to dance before a WZ get ontop of objectives on aldaraan and you have yourself a stage!
origional
Waste of time imo. Doesnt cover enouge area or last long enough so OPs easily avoid it and doesnt do didly in pve.
Mozivicus
Can the opposing team see the outline of where the scan is going to happen, or is happening? I know they can see stuff like mortar volley coming
Zaphir
Using stealth scan blindly is not very effective, though you can get lucky. OTOH it's very helpful for flushing out those sith warriors (they have a combat stealth ability too!), assassins and operatives after they use their 'vanish into thin air' ability. Just hit stealth scan, aim it on the area they are probably running to, profit. You can also use it to preemptively cover your teammates (like healers) when group combat is starting so they can't be ganked from stealth - as long as they stay on the scan area. It is also a decent way to mark an area for people to move to in flashpoints when explaining fights.
Kesrik
It has the same on-ground graphic as Mortar Volley. I like to drop it down on top of a big cluster of Imps and watch them scatter
