Mr_Tax
What sort of cloning technology would have been available turn this period in Star Wars timeline if any? Thanks.
Wolfninjajedi
None, looking at it recorded use of cloning only goes back to the Clone Wars era. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Cloning
Sai-to
Well, *small SPOILERS* In the Smuggler storyline there's a scientist that clones a (mostly) extinct animal species (assuming you take the DNA from a different, crazy Scientist). So cloning is definitely possible.

Blackiichan
Wait... Why didn't they just clone Sith or Jedi??? I can understand Jedi, but any chance at conquering the republic and all that is good the Sith would have taken. Right?

Only Vader succeeded(and should be) the only one who perfected cloning. Of course that was after many attempts and failures, but it eventually worked. Meirsky
If you ever played Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 they say that its almost impossible to clone jedi or sith. And that's during the rebellion era of Star Wars. So I don't think they can do it
Sai-to
Whoops forgot about that, but then again I was going under the impression of human cloning. If they can clone an animal, they can clone a human. Humans are animals, afterall. Heck, we have the technology in our own reality to do it... it's just illegal (in almost all countries).
