Halofax
Hello. I have not read any Old Republic books, I have played KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2. Can someone explain to me why everyone in the Republic is British? The sith lords in KOTOR 2/ Revan and Malak did not sound british. Just a question. Trinbale
I think it is because the Aristocracy of the Republic speaks british english, just like the empire and some rebel alliance officials did in the movies. The normal folk would rather speak American english. I think in the original Movie it was just to distinguish good from bad...
Ruliya
You do know there's a huge thread asking a similar question... When did the Empire become British speaking? Now the Republic are too?
galadimana
Maybe because to the American ear, British English usually sounds more epic, more exotic, more EEEvil (sometimes), sexier, and just plain better than good old fashioned American English. Just my opinion.
