Russx
I just received a fraudalent email from swtor.com.zh claiming my account may be disabled if I dont enter my security details. I never fall for stuff like this but my main concern is... How do they know I play SWTOR? Who inside EA/Bioware is passing my email address on to these fraudsters?? This worries me what companies do with your email addresses. I do not agree with passing my info onto 3rd parties of any kind!

What a stupid thing to say, I don't buy gold, never have and I hate people who do. yet I receive these emails for SWTOR, WoW and Runescape. I have never played runescape. To think that is the only way they can get your email is just incorrect.

Its not the only way, come on seriously, think outside the box, anytime you associate your e-mail with an MMO you will end up on a list of theirs. Fan websites, add-on sites anything. They'll assume that because you play one you'll play the others.
RWScissors
It may be random. I get these for games I play, games I used to play and games I never played. I have sign up for other MMO sites with my email and NEVER got a scam email. I sign up for SWTOR and guess what, I get an email about my Trion account which I never had/heard of. Im not the only case either. Its some retard inside EA/BioWare who made decently money pawning off the email list.
Russx
The FACT stands that somewhere down the line a genuine company has passed your email address to someone else (regardless whether you untick the 3rd party options). This is the issue I have and it annoys me!
