Microsoft disagree with you.

And since they wrote the operating system, I think they have a bit more credibility than you.

FACT: SWTOR does not run with ring 0 permissions.

FACT: It can't cause blue screens under ANY circumstances. The worst it can do is ask the driver to do something which will cause the -driver- (which does run in ring 0) to generate a bluescreen.

FACT: Drivers are always meant to be able to handle malformed requests, therefore it is a bug in the driver.

You're seriously wasting your time man.

If I can teach one new person how to do a bugcheck analysis I've accomplished something. :D

This is like one of those 1990s "white teacher goes to the ghetto to teach rough kids who don't want to learn" movies, but in this one the ghetto kid is too busy shouting over you to hear anything you say.

None of the people i play with ever experienced ANY of the problems you mentioned.

I do not think that you are lying of course, i am sure it does happen to you but you should ask yourself why.

Note, NONE of this is happening to the vast majority of people.

And problems with blue screens are almost always located at user's end.

If you are getting a BSOD then you have bigger problems than anything the game would cause. Run a Norton Power Eraser or Malwarebytes flash scan. At worst you'll need to do a clean install. You mean a BSOD that freezes right? Could be BIOS issues too.

I'd hardly call anything in this game a penalty.

Lol - I agreee. What penalties? The game make you repair items (like most games) and you have a cool down timer. Not much of a penalty. Anyone remember the corpse walk in the beginning of SWG? Thats a penalty....

I tried myself a few pages back, though I have to say you did it much better.

/sigh

I guess some people just find blame more important than truth. Takes all kinds, I guess.

Just got another BSOD. This time I did the math on the death penalty.

It cost exactly 8671 credits to repair my gear at level 44. I have all purple and orange gear. Third time this happened today.

So basically I'm losing a minimum of 26,000 credits each day to a problem with the game.

Here maybe this will help.

Of particular importance is the phrase "hardware or driver related".

"Michael Jackson is alive" gives you 35 million results. Can't wait for that next album.

Oh existentialism. What have you done to us?

I already posted a link to help you diagnose your BSOD problems. Whinging here about your inability to follow a checklist isn't doing you any favours.

Allow me to attempt to shed light on this, much like others have done as well.

BSOD are mostly caused by Driver or Hardware issues.

if EVERYONE was getting the issue, then you could blame SWTOR.

if a MAJORITY was getting the issue, then you could blame SWTOR.

As it is neither, Driver or Hardware issues are most likely the culprit....
