Odosept
I have been wondering why the costs to repair items is so high. I'm now lvl 50 jedi guardian and when I returned from a class quest, after having battled dozens of NPCs and died 2 or 3 times, I go to a vendor and "repair all" as I don't want any of my items to deteriorate to the point of losing them, and 10k credits roll away from me. And most items were still over 50% condition. Also, I had some orange rank armor that I wanted to replace all 3 mods with better ones I got as quest rewards, and it costs over 3k credits to take each out of the armor. I don't even understand why this requires spending credits. Does anyone else think these costs are way too much or even unnecessary?
Shockor
lol that's nothing I paid 44K twice yesterday trying to teach guild members a boss fight in a HM FP lol
Jessabeans
I've noticed at low-mid levels it's cheaper to buy new mods than to remove them.
Wolfeisberg
When a game has a player ran economy, it is necessary to have money sinks. Those serve as money sinks
EternallSlumber
You dont need to take mods out to upgrade, just overwrite - its free. You lose the old mod, but ask yourself - would I pay 3k for this on the GT right now? If not, just overwrite it.
_Ender__Wiggin_
As other poster said, just replace the mod. The reason why repairs are so expensive is because there isn't a death penalty in the game. Other mmos have corpse runs, exp losses, and all sorts of tomfoolery in place. There really isn't any penalty for dying in SWTOR other than eating the repair costs. They do get expensive. The only way to avoid it is to die less, or make enough money where you just don't care.
