Developers : Where Did You Set The Bar?

Some people like story above all else, you know, the people with taste...

The people with "taste" as you say, sir, in a major, major minority. WoW doesn't have 11 million subscribers because the leveling is so.. AMAZING!! The leveling is miles above this game, but the end-game is what keeps people SUBSCRIBED. And guess how this works.. I'm going to break it down for you, sir. Subscriptions = money = content + bug fixes + patches.

The thought of leveling up another toon and space-barring through 50 more levels is an unpleasant, daunting, annoying task. An "MMO" (let's be honest anyway, this game is a single player game) which isn't conducive to creating alts is a failure.

Game doesn't suck, it almost sucks, but it's not the game we were promised not expected. WoW laughs at SW:TOR in every way. The developers, the players, the community. All SW:TOR talks about is WoW, not a single person in WoW mentions SW:TOR. It's not even a pimple on WoW's butt.

The sooner people realize this, the sooner people can realize this game will not be any type of MMO king (lol), and will most likely, as with all hyped WoW-killers.. go the way of those same games. Rift, Aion, Warhammer, Eve.. all failed MMO's.

Erm, right, yeah, sure, whatever you say boss.

P.S., you reek of WoW fanboyism.

I find it hilarious that all anyone like you can say is call me a WoW fanboy, when all of us who aren't in denial provide facts, opinions, thoughts, arguments. How about respond to what I said rather than just calling me a WoW fanboy? You reek of denial.

WoW's leveling miles abouve this game? Ahahahahahahaha!

I'd say that you're one of the major minority (redundant) that would think that.

Also, a lot of your points are subjective. Sooner you learn the difference between subjective and objective, the better for all of us.

Instead of saying "haha, okay, bye.." why not respond to what I said? I wasn't insulting. I wasn't rude. I'm simply stating my opinion. Again, you also reek of denial.

hehehe, because you dont get it, and dont want to get it, its fine, enjoy WoW.

I'd love to, but I've had to do this way too many times for my liking on this forum, so whatever.

If you really want to argue, send me a private message and we'll have at it, otherwise please accept that your opinion is not fact.

Respond to the content of my post. Don't argue about what's subjective, objective, blah, blah, blah. Respond to what I said in my post.

By the way, if you think WoW's leveling isn't MILES ABOVE this game.. 11.5 million people would like to have a word with you. Again, an MMO that isn't conducive to alt creation is a game doomed to failure.

Jeez, go online and do a quick search and you'll find that about ~2 of the 11.5 million people are NA players. The rest come from certain parts of Asia.

I love how you go around touting that number. To tell you the truth, it doesn't mean all that much.

Also, I love how you assume that the 11.5 people actually enjoy that game. They don't even count active subscriptions for the most part. As far as I know, there are only about ~9 million people playing right now. 2 million of which are legitimate NA players.

The game's "hook" isn't creating an alt. Just because you can enjoy leveling an alt doesn't make that the main focus of the game. I'm sorry if that offends you.

I think it is silly that people keep comparing this game to WoW. I seriously doubt the bar was ever set at "wowkiller" level - why would they? Bioware has their own fans with their own successful games (the prequels to this one!) and brought in people who never played an MMO before. This game attracted Star Wars fans that never would have tried WoW as well as those people who play every MMO that comes out. An MMO can be successful without ever reaching WoW levels. All those games listed in this thread as failures are still going - which means they are still making money. Sure any MMO would love to have WoW level success but they don't have to be that huge to be successful and make a profit.

People who enjoy WoW can play it. I have subscriptions to both and don't plan to cancel either one. They are totally different games and not really competition except for people who only want to pay one sub a month.

No offense... but your post is subjective flame bait.
