GTN sale prices

When you place an item for sale on the GTN you are presented with a Sale Price. Is this price dynamic in that it reflects the average sale price of similar items listed at that moment?

If it is as above should one undercut the figures to make the item more desirable?

It's fixed.

You have to set the a amount to get the best balance between profit and the odds of selling it.

Prior to putting it up for sale, look on the "buy" side to see how many are already up for sale, and what they're being sold for. Then you have the information you need to set your own sale price.

Well you don't have to use this default price. You could do some research over in the Buy tab and find out what similar items are selling for currently and then list yours at a competitive price.

With the poor GTN layout currently? Only if the name of the game is "browsing through countless menus for hours if you want a healthy in-game economy"

No thanks...

There's a search field. Type the name of the item, or even part of the name, to see what other people are selling that particular item for. Takes...12 seconds tops.

You only get to search if you select three options with dozens of sub options... by the time i figure out the exact category, type, profession, ingredient of what I WTS .... no thanks!
