  1. The two dps specs allow you to kill the mobs quicker, the heal spec allows you to keep you and your companion alive to kill the mobs in a slightly slower but much much safer way.
  2. my double strike hits for around 800-1k damage...and i've never stacked strength for it...always use it to finish off mobs that get to close to me...
  3. Have to agree with PS, when i first gained access to it i didn't have any AOE heals or Damage (other then the knock away) . Disagree about crit though, the way critting procs synergy for other abilities means that having a good crit score is beneficial for a seer.
  4. we dont do huge spike damage, but if you use your dots and abilities well you can output large amounts of damage to groups. Its putting into perspective. the assassins might be doing 3-4k hits, but we can do more then that a tick spread to their entire team. Wont get you kills but will help the spike dps on your team to get them.
  5. Its a level 30 mob, you're level 50, its like you're proud you were able to take the sweety from a kid, Ok so its the fat kid, its still a kid. Do you play on a pvp server? do you like to go pick on the level 24 players as well?
  6. No, there is never an excuse to roll need for companions.
  7. there are 4 bars, so go into the options and make sure they are all visable. My advice is to put the stuff like buffs, recall, vehicles on the right hand bar, you use them but not enough that they need to be short cutted to. Top bar wants to be the spells you need to be able to hit in a hurry, if you are a sage, Rejuv, shield, the knock back, the movement cleanse (if you are pvp) and any spell you use a lot. then put the spells you use less often, but often enough on the next row down. Finally put the spells which you use once in a blue moon, like the one that heals you and your comp for a minute, onto the left hand bar. some like to keyboard shortcut everything, but i find that i have enough time with global cooldown to just click on the abilities which i dont need to rush to hit with, so i just have the heals on shortcut.
  8. I thought the one that uses force power to do damage did. That one is hitting for 700+ damage for me at 50. I'd love them to change the Pebblestorm ability to one in which we throw our lightsabers at the enemy and use the force to remotely attack them with it.
  9. Will of the Jedi gives 3% additional WP, at 1500 wp, thats only 45 additional WP... at most thats a handfull of HP or additional damage... Is anyone else coming to this conclusion as well?
  10. This is my present build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600GGrRbd0dGzZf0bzZ0M.1 Salvation is amazing in pvp, drop it onto the heads of where the fight is or will be, and it gives you that little bit of extra time to get the focussed heal on who is being targeted. Resplendance is also very useful for maintaining your force power during an extended pve fight. which can also be benefited by concentration if you have time to use it.
  11. Just read through the post. to the OP, 18 accuracy doesn't automatically make it a Shadow item as some of the posters here seem to think, at the end of the day its a Consular item and therefore any consular who gains benefit from the item has the right to roll for it. Thats the whole point of the need/greed system. Besides which Accuracy is of better use to me as a Seer specced Sage then Alacrity is, my standard healing cycle is so short in the cast times that i'm actualyl waiting on the global cool down more then the healing cast, and seeing as i'm actually competant, i can drop the occasional damage spell on our target, so accuracy increases this damage, while alacrity doesn't do jack.
  12. I want them to change the animation to us throwing our lightsaber at them and using the lightsaber at range. Either that or make it a collumn attack so that it affects other people in the storm of pebbles.
  13. Wait you dont like robin williams voice for a droid?
  14. I am a hardcore gamer, i took a week off work for the games release, i've been logged in most days, for a big chunk of each day, with the exception of a couple of days over christmas (that might in fact lose me my hardcore status, damn you family, damn you!!!), that aside, when i hit 50 i did a /played and it has over 7 days of game time, knock off maybe a day and half for idling time, IE when i've gone to the toilet, or gone to make myself somethign to eat, and in one case went to do the weekly food shop and didn't want to have to queue when i logged back in. Still 5 1/2-6 days in around 3/4 weeks is a lot of playing time. I Didn't really struggle with any of the content as i was ensuring i completed every quest before moving on to the enxt zone. So to have played to 50 and have completed the end game content you must have been playing longer then me. Sorry but you are a Hardcore player by even the slightest standards, either that or you space barred through the dialogue.
  15. you need social 5, its in the Cantina on Voss. Not far from the (Jedi) temple of the three.
  16. BW love the empire, everything is better over there, from the storyline, to the animations, to the lightside/darkside options actually makign sense and not being ****ed up as much.
  17. if they didn't want you to use los they would have put you into an empty room not one with lots of two columns.... if you are struggling with stark though you are going to have lots of fun with the final boss and his/her insta kill abilities....
  18. from the companions crew bonuses we should probably be doing Synthweaving, Nadia gives a bonus to that.
  19. TORs is one of the smoothest launches. Wow launched in the US only and was full of bugs, crashes, incomplete quests, long server outages, not to mention the end game raids were buggy as heck. If memory serves, at least one class was completed broken. Most other mmo's through recent years normally collapse under unexpected high server loads, not to mention their forums flooded with wow fan boys screaming about how awesome their polished turd is in comparison....
  20. it'll pick up in europe over the next few hours as people go home from work.
  21. so far, i have only three real complaints about the game. The UI interface occasionnally stops responding to my mouse clicks, as a healer this has put some team mates in danger, but i have adapted by having all the buttons on keyboard short cuts and quickly hitting Ctrl-u twice. so i can get a shield and heal off if needs be. There is too much complete CC, by this i mean stuns and complete interupts. My heals take time to cast...its infuriating in PVP. Too much copy and pasting of terrain. Other then those three, game is amazing and for a MMO that has been out less then a month, with the population numbers. Is awesome.
  22. Laser weapons should be invisible anyway, waste of potential killing energy dropping it down into the visible spectrum.
  23. nope, and i'm surprised you are mainly using double strike...
  24. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that the consular's storyline was farmed out to an intern...
  25. 40K, Easily. With Warp travel it is possible to arrive before you left. if were referring to the whole of both universes histories, then bare in mind that all the space marines, which are considered to be the best warriors humanity has ever produced, come from their primarchs which were multitudes better then their clans, who in turn are based upon the emperor who is a living god. at the time of the majority of the 40k stories, the imperium is a fraction of what it once was, the technology of the golden age has been lost. Humanity is actually on the recovery of a dark age. even so, they are technologically so far in advance of the SW universe it is a joke. and if all this doesn't convince you. like to see the first time a jedi uses his light saber to deflect a kraken round and it blows up taking his arm with it.
