I could care less about Medals.. thats all you guys are talking about lol, and yes I play objectives.
I'm a little hesitate and pissed off on the fact that it sounds like Ranked WZs might have different gear. Now another time for people to have an advantage over others, which will make it worse now for the lower tier person..

Dude, I don't dislike the game. For the most part I like it but it's basically an MMO in name only. It's a solo-player RPG with occassional co-op (Heroics, etc) and a limited multiplayer.

I really don't know how people consider this game a single player RPG.. Guess you don't know how to be social. I quest A LOT more with other ppl in this game, than any other MMO I have..
Guess being in WZs, FP, and in Ilum isn't enough people to make you not feel like its a single player.

I clicked my way to Battlemaster without any problems whatsoever. And that's without abusing Ilum. If I ever felt that clicking was putting me at a serious disadvantage, I'd rethink my strategy... But as long as I kick 99% of people's asses, I don't see any reason to.

You don't see any reason to, cause this games competitiveness is nothing. Its very relaxed. Sorry, but battlemaster means nothing. Grats you can grind.
I simple just don't get why, people don't want to better themselves, and be ahead of the game and be a better player. Yeah, maybe clicking works for you in the mean time. Wait till Rated WZs come out, and; 1. no one will take due to lack of skill 2. you wont have the edge over the player who does not keyboard turn.

I lol everytime I see some L33tz melee'r running thru and running circles around a tracer monkey like its doing him/her any good, hehe good times.
Purpose of running around like a monkey, is to use ability that require to behind your opponent. Speaking of which I lol when I interrupt those L33tz tracer missile spammers and not know what to do afterwards..

you can run around circles all you want man.. but honestly.. in a game with autoface.. it doesnt matter... i think its hilarious watching these so called great pvpers running in circles...
i just sit still and let them... i shoot.. my guy turns automatically at them and shoots...
LOL only way you will get me to move is if you LOS me... but by then I will root you.. kb you to root you... or just plain burn you down before LOS becomes an issue...

I think that will shortly change, once Rated WZs come out. That will raise the bar of expectations.

Actually play a V 64 Vanguard. Im not a keyboard turner, but i do click on my abilities. Just always been that way for me in all mmos. think its mostly cause im left handed. If people want to play that way and feel comfortable doing it though let em. Some probably dont feel comfortable playing "the right way" as some say. but who cares. The OP and others can try to hide behide other words but the truth of the matter is they are really saying "OMG wuts wit these keyturners and clickers dey so bad how can they play like dat!" Really who cares. In your world that just makes you shine more and those type of players easier to kill.
So if your a clicker, but not a keyboard turner. Then how do you turn? Your too busy clicking.. Or the fail face turning system cater to you.

Dont know about you man but most the abilities in this game are insta cast and can be used on the move, meaning you dont need to stand in one spot to play your toon. So i dont really see how key bindings and strafing has a huge advantage in swtor. I would put myself in the middle cause i do click on abilities. But i have so called "keyboard pros" try to strafe circle all around me and i have no issues at all burning them down like any other class. What makes you thing i have to sit there and put up with that nonsense? ever heard of kiting? strafe that.
Well, guess you don't play melee. A keyboard turner vs a mouse turner is pretty much gonna win against the keyboard turner, due to the fact of slower turning and slow response.
This game caters to "keyboard turners" especially for range, cause this game face turns for you. The only MMO game, or actually any PC game that does that for you, that I have played. Without that face turning, goodluck. Cause you'll be out played with someone running around you.
Strafing is a form of kiting..

ps i turn with my mouse and have just about every key on my keyboard bound to an ability, but that doesn't make me better than anyone who likes to turn with their keyboards and click on their abilities.

I think a big issue is POOR map design. There are different levels in all maps, where range has an advantage.
Huttball- has 3 levels, if any of your abilitys; ie force charge is down, what are you gonna do? Run? Hope to LoS?
Alderran- has a higher level such as the balcony in the center. Even at east and west, as I say if any of your abilitys are on CD that help you break that gap, what are you gonna do? Run around to the stairs as they turret you down.
Voidstar- Boxes, and the LoS around pillars so they can turret you at the door.
Poor map design, LOVES range. Plain and simple. TURRET TURRET TURRET.
I think are ability's are fine, maybe perhaps let us have more survivability ability's closer to lower level, instead of high 30+ if in the 10-49 brackets.
I just really strongly believe that range is favored in this game due to map design. But that's my personal opinion.
Before people bash, oh your bad, or oh this and this. I play both 50 sorc/50 jug, I know the differences.

Then it would all end with everyone running solo or with groups of 4 which is pointless.
How is that pointless? World PvP is fighting people in the World.. doesn't have to be in a raid or in a group.
I think they should only allow to gain valor in a certain area, perhaps the middle, so it gets the incentive for people to stop hugging the base.

Sure if your a masochist you would see that as a challenge. I see it as an unfair playing field for pvp that allows people who put the time in early to decimate the people who are trying to put the time in now. Baseline all the expertise stats so that centurion is the same as battlemaster and everyone just gears up their pvp tiers to get more stats, not just to get expertise so they dont pop instantly. TBH this grindy gameplay has me bored already.
How is it unfair? You had the chance to get in earlier than others, just as much as they did. Its your fault for either;
1. Not pre ordering
2. Not pre ordering early enough
3. Buying the game late
Everyone had a fair advantage at the start, but people chose differently due to many reasons.
Read the patch notes, they are fixing the gear gap. People have no patience anymore in games. Sadly.

Don't get why so many people complain about "older" level 50s who have gear. Its nothing new in the MMO genre, people are always leveling, and will always have a disadvantage.
Does it suck, of course if your the new 50, but gives you more incentive to want to play the game and better yourself. I look at it as a challenge, gear wise and skill wise.

Don't think you guys really read his post, he was specified to a specific server when they did guild deploys, he don't choose the server..
So in a way it is Biowares fault putting him on a specific server. But not their fault many other people didn't roll on that server to keep the population flowing, but then it is their fault for making too many servers. It can go back and forth..
Either way, I hope they do have server transfers and even factions changes, to help out the population issue.
But don't feel bad for re-rolling, **** I re rolled, first wave in pre-launch, got 50 in 2 weeks, battlemaster, and really down deep I hated that class (sorc) and am re rolling. Just a part of an experience in games.
But don't expect any change soon, so either you jump ship off the game, or jump servers. Do whats best for you .
