    Back from a Longgg Hiatus, just a few questions

    Hey guys!

     

    I am returning back from a very long hiatus and I was wondering how the state of the game is. I saw they're coming out with a new expansion (which i'm extremely excited for since it's what I've wanted from the first time I stepped into my Star ship) so it has to be good right? lol

     

    Anyways a few things i'd like to know are..

     

    -How is the Imperial/Republic population, are the imperials the majority still or has it balanced out?

    -Is PvP on llum any better than before?

    -I know there were a lot of servers back when I started, have they since merged them or is the population on each one still pretty high?

    -With the addition of the Cartel store, is it a game changer such as Pay to win or purely aesthetics?

    -Does Hutball still hog 90% of the Battleground PvP rotation?

    -Have Twi'leks finally been able to equip a hood?

     

    I'd look for myself but i'm currently caught up at work >_<, but i'm pretty hyped up about returning!

     

    Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    -Depends on the server, my server (POT5) Mainly Imperial

    -No PVP at all in Ilum

    -They merged servers

    -All items are purely vanity/aesthetics

    -No, but there can be times where you get a lot of voidstars/coast or any other ones. But not like back in the day were it was all huttball

    Ever since this new patch, has anyone else been getting disconnected from the server a lot more? My server latency goes through the roof. For awhile I thought it was my ISP, but I contacted them and they did a diagnostic of my modem and internet feed and everything is fine on their end. So im starting to wonder if its happening on TORs end..

     

    This happening to anyone else or am I just the un lucky one?

    Wildstar has player housing and player cities... and SWTOR doesn't? C'mon!

    Love how you call Wildstar a POS game.. That game has way more to offer than SWTOR has to offer after being out over a year. The combat looks WAYYYY funner than SWTOR. Sorry but it does. Perhaps test the game and then maybe have a true insight on the game, than claiming it looks bad.

     

    Cartoony? Lol, you're playing a cartoon type graphics game. All I see is bias opinions, which is typical. Yes, it sorta does look like WoW, cause if you haven't known.. one of the DEVs from WoW help create the game.

    Self healing bug

    This has happened to me a few times..

    When I target someone, on my raid bars, even their portrait is targeted.. I end up healing myself no matter what, it don't matter who I target. I heal myself..

     

    Anyone else have this problem??

    In time there will be. Given the amount of people wanting it I'm surprised there isn't already an option to do this...

     

    I know right..

    Given how EAware is so money hungry with the cartel market. Their business would boom more for race changes/appearance changes/name changes and what not.

     

    For a game being out longer than a year, they sure do lack in little things like this. Which is pretty pathetic imo.

    2.0 is free to all players. You don't have to pay for it, and you can level to 55, get new skills and new talent trees. Everything that is on the PTS will be free for everyone, not the expansion.

     

    ROTHC is the expansion and requires you to pay for it.

     

    If that is the case, then i am extremely confused at the moment..

    Name/Appearance Changes?

    In the near future are there going to be name and or appearance changes?

     

    I hope so, cause you end up getting name you don't like or end up making a character you not liking later on down the road?

     

    Could be a good chance to make some extra cash in the cartel shop as well.

     

    Just surprises me, well not really due to all the random little bugs still in the game, but this service has not been implemented for this game being out over a year?

    I still think a story holding back a faction change is a bunch of bull. That is the lamest excuse ever.. If people want, people want it. Supply and demand. I know I'll pay top money for it. Just more money in EAWare pocket..

     

    People always blame it on the story. Give me one good reason why it should not be allowed? Other than story. Tired of that excuse.

    Because it would mess up the story. The only way for it to work would be for it to permanently lock you out of any further class story content. You know people would be very upset if they screwed themselves out of missing that. Story is an important part of gameplay, and is a huge part to this game. This is a Bioware game, where story is the most important thing.

     

    For the life of me I'll never understand the people who come to a Bioware game and don't like story, it's counter-intuitive. It'd be like playing CoD and hating multiplayer. You can, but don't expect the developer to cater to you.

     

    You gave the exact thing I told not to say. Story is not a changing factor in gameplay. So it should not matter.

    Most people don't play this game just cause its BW. A lot of has to due to the fact of its a MMO and its Star Wars..
