One thing I liked in SWG was that you didn't even have to pick between Empire and Rebel - there were items and ships that were exclusive to those who remained neutral. Obviously this game won't go that far, but I do think having some rewards for neutral alignment would be cool.

Quests rarely ask you to just go aimlessly kill people - though that is often a side objective. If you're walking from Point A to Point B, and there are bad guys in the way - they'll attack you, and you'll defend yourself.

I remember in beta it was in a connecting corridor on the republic fleet, but now it isn't there. It would appear that vendor doesn't exist anymore, so now I'm sadly without a black/yellow crystal. Has the pre-order crystal vendor been relocated? Or is he gone altogether?

You must first learn the Scavenging crew skill. Then all you have to do is right click on the desh pile. One thing I noticed in beta though, is that even after someone has looted the pile the model still sits there unable to be scavenged until the node respawns. Perhaps they'll change this, as it always got my hopes up.
