  1. I've been gearing up with 55 Flashpoint, ops, and comms gear. I'm at a loss as to why I'm not getting any accuracy on any of my tanking pieces??!?!?! So many of my abilities get resisted I"ve started to use mods from older gear just so I can get a decent amount of accuracy. On the other hadn I'm seeing WAY too much alacrity on my tank items. Personally I find that stat useless. Is anyone else having the same issues?
  2. Personally I'm looking at getting Accuracy augs. I absolutely hate it when my abilities get resisted; it sucks when dps pulls agro because half of your threat gets resisted.

    The "Pull" ability has a 1 min CD. The OP just doesn't like SI. MANY people have posted abilities used by other classes have that are insane for Huttball. My personal fav, Jug's force leap from below to ignorant enemies standing near there goal line. Here are a few abilities that your Powertech can have, that I feel make them OP in Huttball. Hydrolic Overides : 30% increase in speed and immune to all movement impairing effects, knockdowns, pulls, stuns, etc. FOR 8 SECS so OP Pneumatic Boots: Increases movement speed by 15% Permanently OP Jet Charge: 15 sec CD *** You can charge 4 times to every 1 pull from a sorc Grapple: 30 Meters *** SO OP and on a 45 sec CD I Propose a fix we should make it so Powertechs can't use ANY of these while in the Warzone Huttball! (See how stupid you sound from another POV)
  6. So if Sorc's weren't killing you in 3-5 hits, why did they need a nerf to damage? Was it because our utility in Huttball made us seem OP? Funny BW didn't change any utility. Judging the OPness of classes based in inflated stats at the end of a warzone is ignorant! I don't like the changes BW is proposing. I also didn't like how, in order to have decent "burst" I had to spec into 3 different tree's! (Something like 7/13/21 I had to get 10% buff from Force Suffusion AND 20% buff from Wrath in order to hit someone for 4k, also assuming poping trinkets and pvp buff. THAT screams BW didn't pay attention to the skill tree's! Even after the "nerf" from BW I'll still have inflated stats in Warzones. Why?! Because all I will do is run around and DOT EVERYTHING! Its the only viable spec for PVP. So now my strats have changed. I'll run around DOT the hell out of enemies STILL use ALL of my utility. (Don't need bubble or bindings if all I'm doing is running away) Something like 3/12/26 will work just fine. Even after 1.2 people will scream Sorc's are OP Still. Its the WZ Huttball that makes us shine, cuz all that utility combined doesn't shine as much in other warzones. I see TONS of posts where information isn't correct just to prove the posters point. Gets really annoying when BW is actually trying to fix things. Makes it so they can't rely on anything said in the forums. They ignore most things stated here and try and rely on their own data. 1.2 will bring logs, soon after I'm going to assume BW will have to tweak Sorc damage. In the end I'm not scared, or Re-rolling another class. Well kinda, I am rolling a sin with my wife since she just got the game. Anyway, can we please stop with the false info. Let's actually post helpful information.
  7. I'm not Lazy or afraid to level valor ranks, I just have a life outside the game. Bio can give you all the shiny new colors etc, I personally don't care. I love the new system for pvp gear. I can be competitive, have a great team, and not have to spend hours grinding the system to the point I hate pvp. I look forward to having my team kick ***** in ranked WZ.
  8. From the in-game tooltip its states that we get, from memory currently at work, decreases enemy resistance. I think this just applies to sorc dmg, because melee it gives reduction in def. But likes its been stated we already have 100% chance to hit our target, and I've not once seen anything get resisted, other than when assisans use their ability to go immune. From the guild summit, we learned that stacking def from a tanks perspective is not a bad idea for pvp tanks. But would stacking accuracy really benefit a DPS. I might see 1 or 2 in a game, wo why stack stats that would only improve killing them, instead of stacking stats that improve killing everyone?
  9. I would almost say something like 10/13/18 http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GhbZdcMMdZcMcRsMz.1 would be a better spec. This would focus more on DPS than healing. If you truly want to be a secondary healer and not a main healer than a decrease in Dark Infusion and 75% pushback for healing should be suffice. I also put points into instant WW because that it a HUGE lifesaver. A cc with a guaranteed 2 sec stun, if they break it asap; If not than its 10 secs for a full duration. I know that putting affliction up on multiple targets makes lightning barrage proc a lot! You're going to spam lightning a ton, its the only productive thing you can do if you are low on force. Might as well get that proc chance to tick faster.

  11. So here's my issue. You play in PVE gear, ok whatever your choice. But you don't even play a Sorc. All you did was read tooltips and decide that they are OP. Seriously ***! Based on tooltips alone I could create a story for ANY class and say that they are OP. You don't have any issue killing Sorc's, yet you call for nerfs to the class? You said it yourself that they pose no issue to your playing. Why do you want them nerfed? I just don't understand why you would read tooltips and then decide the class without even playing it first. There are so many flaws in your arguments that you still refuse to acknowledged. But you created an engaging thread. People from both sides of the fence have something to say. ---------------------------------------- Here's what I would wish, go play a sorc to 50. Get at least your cent pvp set and then come back with comments and suggestions. Right now you don't have all the information. Your posts are all opinion. Even with tooltips, your still only getting half of the story. Become a better player and get all your information. ---------------------------------------- Bioware has stated that every class has a scale. Everyone is judged by that scale so they are balanced. If they feel abilites are performing not as intented then they will do something. BUT they play the classes, they don't just read tooltips.
  12. So you use ALL PVE gear in PVP?!? Yes, you top meters, but your complaining about Sorc being OP? Really? Your fighting an uphill battle. Regardless of your stats, you hit on average 10% less and they hit 10% more. (Obviously that % varies with gear) Your class gets: An instant Stun that you don't have to talent, just like our Talented Whirlwind (Intimidating Roar) A Vanish to get out, making you disappear from everyone. (Force Camouflage) A channeled Stun that does damage, making your enemy not able to do anything; unless they break it. (Force Choke) An interupt preventing that spell from being cast for 4 secs (Disruption) An ability that reduces all damage by 20% for 6-30 secs and deals damage to your attacker. That will be WAY more damage reduction then ANY shield used by a sorc. (Cloak of Pain) Another ability that increasing melee and ranged defenses by 50% and reducing the damage taken from Force and tech attacks by 25%. Lasts 12 seconds. Could be argued that its better than our bubble, it all depends on how many people are attacking. (Saber Ward) And you have Force Charge -------------------------------------- All those abilities and you can't seem to get to a Sorc, Stay and stay on him to kill him? You got so angry you had to create a very long post, in which you obviously spent time on, and scream to get Sorc's nerfed. So yes, I ended my thread with you got outplayed. Because its the only thing that makes logical sense, why else would you need Sorc's to be nerfed? You use PVE gear in PVP and you're getting so upset you have to make posts about it.
  13. :sy_star:"Wrath" - Force Lightning damage has a 30% chance to make your next cast instant and do +20% damage. This is the talent that allows hybrid Sorcerers to surpass the 31-point specs. This makes it insanely effective to build hybrid and use the proc for instant cast "Chain Lightning". This is what makes the hybrid spec. Because Sorcs spam Force Lightning it feels like it procs a ton. :sy_galaxy:"Electric Bindings" - Adds a 5 second immobilize to their 20 second knockback "Overload". Tier 3 talent. This talent is fairly balanced for a 31 point Lightning PvP build to be effective but for all other specs it's just a ridiculous amount of utility that they don't need. This needs to be moved up the tree. You forgot to mention that ANY damage makes it 2 seconds. So if the Sorc is actually doing his job there will be dots on the target, nullifying that 5 seconds. :sy_havoc:"Backlash" - Causes "Static Barrier" to apply a 3 second CC to surrounding targets upon breaking. This is only balanced in the hands of an incredibly immobile caster with little defense. Sorcerers aren't anywhere near being immobile or lacking in defense. I suppose an argument could be made for 31-point Lightning builds to have access to this but it shouldn't be in the hands of hybrids. Period. Big burst damage with CC is dangerous for every single class but Sorcerers with this talent can simply laugh at anyone that attempts to burst them down. As long as they maintain their bubble(30s duration, 20s CD due to debuff) they get a "get out of jail free card" that activates on it's own. They can also abuse the bubble by manually clicking off the buff to AoE CC people with a 20-second cooldown. This is just an unbelievably broken talent all around. This ability is MEH at best. I love it for all the stealthers trying to gank me, but I HATE it when it procs and then puts a resolve bar to full resulting in not being able to CC when I need to. You are giving this ability too much credit. "Lightning Barrier" - Gives 20% increased absorption to Static Barrier. Tier 2 talent. Lightning Sorcs need this talent because of their need to stand still and leave themselves more vulnerable to damage. Healers use this talent for survival and PvE purposes. This doesn't really need to be touched and gives a nice balanced incentive to use extra points in this tree. This doesn't absorb as much damage as you suggest later in your post. At level 50, Static Barrier absorbs 1162 + 327% of Force Healing Bonus before talents. So Battlemaster's hybrid spec'd might get 3.5k. Sorry not everyone is in full Battlemasters. "Lightning Storm" - 30% chance on "Lightning Strike" to reset the CD of Chain Lightning and cause it to be instant-cast the next time you use it(10s CD). Essentially a second Wrath. Combine the two and you have a spec that can use instant-cast Chain Lightning with disgusting frequency. This doesn't really need to be touched as abuse cases only occur in heavy AoE situations where Wrath + Lightning Storm procs allow frequent AoE bursts. Its still a very strong talent for one point though. No Hybrid spec worth anything will spec into this; its wasted talent points. We already get instant with Wrath procs. -------------------------------------- :sy_havoc:In addition to either of these changes there needs to be a fix to the huge imbalance that is the "Backlash" talent. The ability to manually trigger the AoE immobilize needs to be removed. AoE blinds/paralyzes are extremely powerful CCs and to put one on a 20-second cooldown is insane. The only way to make this even remotely balanced is to allow enemies a chance to counter the CC by not popping it with their damage. There isn't anything manual about this talent. It happens after the absorb wears off, either by duration or by damage. If we could choose when it goes off then I could see some argument, but until then.... -------------------------------------- Here is an example of a hybrid spec. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZfcMMdRbZcrcRsMk.1 1. 4 second 30yrd range stun with a 60s CD. [Electrocute] 2. A 30 yard range 6s 50% slow with a 12 second cooldown. [Force Slow] 3. A slow build into their main filler attack. [Force Lightning] 5. A 20(30 untalented) second cooldown 150% speed boost that is the best of it's kind. [Force Sprint] 6. A 20 second CD(shortest in the game) knockback. [Overload] 7. A 5 second root attached to the above knockback. 8. A bubble that provides between 3.5-4.5k absorption. Since average health pools are on average about 16k this can be looked at as an instant 20%-30%+ health gain on a 20 second cooldown. They have light armor but this skill makes them far tankier than most DPS specced players in any situation where the players aren't receiving external heals for extended periods of time and even then it's pretty much outright better than heavy armor. This bubble is not overpowered as it's essentially a counterbalance to their light armor. What makes it over powered is the talented CC that comes with it(More on that below). [static Barrier] 9. The above bubble has a 3 second AoE immobilize attached to it. The bubble can be Pre-Cast and kept up 100% of the time as a preventive CC that activates when you need it(when your bubble breaks). This can also be pre-cast and Static Barrier can be clicked off manually for a 3 second on-demand AoE immobilize and then the Sorcerer may immediately recast it if timed well. 10. A 60s CD single target immobilize(whirlwind/force lift). [Whirlwind] 11. A 2s duration stun if the above immobilize is broken by damage. 12. A 12 second CD 30 yard range interrupt. [Jolt] Your spec BLOWS you over exaggerate and obviously have never played a sorc to 50. Stop trolling people with this crap. There are things all over your post that can't happen, stop spreading lie's. (i.e. #9, its can't stay up 100%) ----------------------------------- Burst: There is also the constant whining that "Sorcerers have no Burst". A Wrath Proc Chain Lightning can do up to 5k damage with just a relic popped. This can be followed up by Death Field and Shock for almost 10k damage in 3 GCDs. This is more burst damage(not to mention it's AoE) than most non-gimmick specced classes can output. What I'm trying to emphasize is how stupidly well the bottom halves of the two trees synergize. It's obviously not intended and needs to be changed without breaking the full 31 point specs. Bioware needs to move the incredibly good talents further up the tree and move some of the weaker talents down to the lower tiers. When people talk about burst its usually meant as a couple of hits. i.e. The 10k hits when level 50 OP/Scoundrel would stack all their buffs + pvp buffs + Biochem to get those numbers. Doing damage over time isn't burst. DISCLAIMER: I don't care if hybrid specs exist. I care when those hybrid specs break the game by making a class disgustingly overpowered. I'm not asking for an end to Sorcerer hybrids. I just want the hybrids to not have access to the utility talents in Lightning so they're not so incredibly powerful compared to the 31-point specs. In their current state they're overpowered in every way. With this change people wouldn't feel stupid for NOT using a hybrid spec because right now anyone using a 31-point build is gimping themselves as Sorcerers. With this change people would still have the option to spec hybrid and do the same damage, they just wouldn't have disgustingly overpowered utility from BOTH trees. It's incredibly stupid for hybrids to be like some ultimate fusion of two specs that's far more overpowered than either 31-point build. This isn't Dragonball Z. You really need to get a clue. Learn all the facts before posting this crap. Skill will always be the most OP part of PVP. Playing against skilled ANYTHING will make you feel like a class is OP. You got ROFLSTOMPED, own up to it and stop with the useless threads
