facepalm so hard. obviously you did not think about what it would take to make this happen, let alone like everyone else said for the ipad to be able to hand it.

+1. Being a fellow techie, I know what goes into server maintenance. People forget that sometimes it's not just the game that's being patched, but the OS / hardware the game is running on. If I had a dollar for the number of times I've had problems with Windows patches for my customers, I'd be rich. I've had service calls where I thought It'd only take a half an hour, and I end up at a client's site for 3 hours. If people take the time to read this, it'd educate them greatly as to what goes on when there is "server maintenance."

Why do people feel the need to open a thread themselves every time they have a problem with their server? Everyone knows this is going to happen, stop creating thread after thread after thread about it.

Can't tell if serious. Probably not everyone on your server has had full early access and has been playing constantly. Give it some time, and eventually there will be more world PvP.

They're doing it in waves so they don't crash and overpopulate the servers and have server queues right off the bat.

the earlier date is when you redeemed your pre-order code. that's what they'll base your early release access off of, most likely.

no ones going to give you love for trashing a game that everyone wants to play, and most people can't right now.

7.21.11, and I was in as of 7am EST this morning.

I got in on the first wave, so I was able to log in, get my character's name and create it before I went into work. Now I'm just sitting here reading the forums and reddit waiting to actually play.

Yes, so let's let EVERYONE on at once, crash the servers and then no one plays at all! It's early release, they didn't have to do this at all. It's not to be fair, it's to make sure they don't break everything day one.
