1. I'd like to know about more characters slot too. I strongly desire at least sixteen!
2. It's anywhere in-game where lots of shots are being fired or where the area is just generally "too busy". The same thing can be seen on Balmorra in certain areas. It's a basic problem with the way the game engine handles certain things.
3. I feel that this old gem is oddly appropriate during this downtime:
4. There was a good system used by Cryptic (as strange as it might seem to say that) for microtransactions whereby you could buy cosmetic changes or account services (like name changes etc.), but where subscribing members also got given a stipend of so many points each month. As such, you never had to buy any points if you stayed subbed for long enough. I'd really like to hope that we'll be able to get more character slots and other services soon, even if we have to pay for them.
5. Word. If female characters get a slave girl, then male characters need something similarly awesome and hilarious too. That's just the sort of thing we need. Think along the lines of man thongs, hehe!
6. Like a lot of players who frequently do space combat missions, I am constantly irked by having to reconfigure my strafe left/right keys to turn left/right every single time in order to be able to move my starship left/right. Could someone please take a few minutes to add an additional bit of code somewhere so that strafe left/right can also move your starship left/right in addition to turn left/right? Many thanks in advance for this simple quality of life fix!
7. Why are they using a modified version of the theme from ITV's lunchtime news? In any case, it's not really an apology, so much as a way to try to not lose viewers. Given its format, I wouldn't be surprised if it lost a lot of viewers in general anyway.
8. Nope. In fact, I had a question answered about why they were going with character-specific unlocks and made a thread (the first one in my signature) to request that there be an option to unlock them legacy-wide (i.e., for all characters). If you were so affected, please support my thread on this. If enough people request it, maybe the devs will listen.
9. That's good to know. Could you please also advise on: 1) A toggle for the helmet audio distortion for players and companions, so we can have a helmet without the voice distortion if we wish. 2) Fixing the "big butt" issue experienced by many jedi knights with body type 2 and many robes. 3) Hood toggle for players and companions. (This has been requested for the longest time.) 4) Choosing the colour of your chest piece (and for companions) via a colour hue selection. 5) Giving players the ability to change appearance in-game after the character creation scheme. 6) Allow companions to wear gear that has a class requirement (i.e., Nadia should be able to wear Consular gear but can't; Scourge should be able to wear Sith Warrior gear but can't etc.) 7) Giving players the ability to change character and legacy names? All of these are very important to customisation.
10. I stopped reading your point when I got to this. LGBT content IS family-friendly. If you want people to believe that somehow it's improper for children or families to acknowledge that LGBT issues and people exist, then you are not promoting family-friendly values but rather a close-minded and narrow view of the world. In other words, it seems like you are suggesting that there is a "right" way (a "no gays-allowed family-friendly way") to live one's life and that anything else is somehow wrong or perverted. This is wrong and goes against human rights to freedom of sexuality. In any case, your argument is like a glass house: easily shattered. In this game, you can commit all kinds of attrocities (including genocide) and generally commit acts which might not be considered family-friendly. In fact, even the good guys frequently kill people. Furthermore, you can engage in relationships with other members of the opposite gender! Won't somebody think of the children! Putting same gender romances into the game will not make this game unsuitable for families or children, assuming you are okay with your children seeing quite a lot of violence and death. Actually, if you're okay with your children spewing death but you don't want them to deal with issues of genuine sexuality, then that's quite disturbing. I don't mean this to be an attack on you, but please rethink your points as they're incredibly misguided and quite prejudist against the LGBT community.
11. I think you should change the title, as it's a bit misleading at present. There's no evidence to suggest they're doing this other than your gut feeling. I'm not saying you're wrong, but the title implies fact rather than a question or idea. Perhaps change it to: Bioware planning a third faction? or WIll Bioware implement a third faction? In any case, I would hope that this would be quite a way down the line. There are lots of other things that need development time to get implemented first (including same gender romances, hood toggles, companion colour unify and hide head slot, more character slots, more story on new worlds, etc.)
12. I had no idea that Antipodean players couldn't get either the CE or the security key! Are you at least able to get the security key available for iOS or Android?
13. Sorry, but I don't buy into the elitist rubbish. You can't prejudice against the majority of players who don't have the time to spend months getting gear for one character just so that you feel a bit better about your achievement. Heck, even with this number of commendations and for players with more time than others, it will still take a long amount of time to gear up all your alts and skill to complete the FPs too. In short, I completely disagree with you on this and am glad that Bioware devs do too.
14. 1.4 or possibly 1.5 should be bringing us a lot of the extra content like this. I'm just hoping that we continue to get incremental updates to the game, even if it means waiting even longer for features that should have been in at launch.
15. Coruscant equipment vendor sells a level-15 orange techblade called Prototype Battle Techblade.
16. Unless you're secretly adding numerous bug-fixes to the long list of known issues with 1.3 on the PTS forums by the time this hits live on Tuesday, a lot of players are not going to be happy. Better to fix the issues first and then release it, even if it means another week or so to get 1.3.
17. Haha! YES! Make it happen! FOR SEXUAL EQUALITY!!!
18. Pfft. Those of us who aren't hardcore gamers don't need it any easier. You get rest exp for a reason. Use it. By the time my characters get to Alderaan, I'm at least level 32/33. If I do the Nar Shadaa bonus series too before going there, I'm usually level 34. So long as you keep yourself overlevelled (which is insanely easy with rest exp), most of these parts of the game are not that difficult. This is coming from a player who usually opts to play on casual/easy or normal in single players games. If you're really having difficulty, ask for help in-game or join a guild. There are usually several reasons why players are having trouble, often related to pulling too many mobs or not keeping gear (on your character and companion) up-to-date. Sometimes it's a matter of picking the correct companion too.
19. This is really more of a suggestion than a discussion and it's been suggested quite a few times by different players. I support it though.
20. You mean: SWTOR has FEWER servers than Rift! Generally speaking, it's less+singular idea (non-countable) and fewer+plural (countable), though there are occasional exceptions. For example, one would say "less information" but "fewer players".
21. I'm loving it personally. On "The Progenitor" server, I saw 190 people in the Imperial fleet alone around midnight last night. I haven't seen that many people online since launch. Suffice to say, it made me very happy
22. Me too, but I'd like a proper interrupt as well, even if it has a much longer cooldown for instance to balance it out.
23. Dear devs, Please ignore this thread and don't ever, ever implement Pay To Win systems. Kind regards llesna On a serious note, ideas such as this are pure evil incarnate. There's nothing wrong with having purchaseable goods from a store, wherein you purchase account services or vanity goods, but any system where you can just buy the items you need in-game with real cash will have a negative impact on the game and its community.
