AMEN. All these people that think GW2 will save MMO's are completely high. I bet 75% of the people never played gw1. I also bet those 75% did not know how fast the game died. GW2 is not much different (yes I have played it). As for current state of PvP, I am guessing it is bad on every server. 5 out of 10 matches I got into recently started off with a full 8. But within seconds the premade on my team quit. So you know what happens now? Now either we fight with 4, because the matches no longer end when numbers are uneven. Or we get 4 more PUGS, to fight against the premade that already has a head start on us. I think people are doing this on purpose. Why in the heck would you leave before you even see who you are against? Or are you just trying to get a full 8 in there? Then we have all these stupid tanks guarding DPS. Come on now.. Guard your healer.. I cant wait for GW2, maybe some of the stupid people will leave. We will find out this weekend I guess.

HAHAH All you people saying hurry it up are a trip. You will be the first to complain when bugs hit live.. but hey it is live.. right? I say take your time, get more 50s in there to test. I do not want a buggy patch on live. I know the 50s you have there have not tested everything (I have seen the posts about no queue pops for rated warzones). So please.. take as long as you need. But take it with more people!

ya I as a sorc healer like my 4pc too. But.. I can live without if for a little while if I really cared about looks. But... I dont Maybe I will be one of the last sorcs running around in my outfit and then I will look different lol

It is simple folks. The new system will only work on the NEW sets. The sets that are already in game will not work as such. For those more casual people that think they are screwed, you can get black hole coms by doing the coralia dailies (weekly quest). But after talking to a lot of people, most only care for the 2 piece bonuses of there sets. So it is easy enough to "hide" those 2 items. Just wear the gloves(or boots) and helm. Hide your helm and boots or gloves are much harder to see in most cases. But really, this is just about looks. Does it really matter that much? Well I guess it does since the rated warzone set is just looks.. But enough people seem to care.. so I guess that is where they are coming from.

Again I will post this. If you changed mods to better suit your play style you should be fine (unless you used 56 mods). Here is Live Here is PTS As you can see, only the stats are different. For myself.. I changed the mods on live to make em almost the same as this anyhow... So it is not that huge.. Now for BM gear.. there is another thread for that. This was about Rakata. BM gear has EXTRA stat points on it now, Rakata just has better stats for your class. No EXTRA stat points on Rakata. What I am trying to point out, is there is the same amount of stats, just different type of stats on the rakata gear.

I do not even have a settings folder. Even with hidden folders showing.

This path does not seem to exist for me. I do not even have a settings folder in my SWTOR or SWTOR PTS directory. What am I missing? Note I am running Windows 7.

Dont know if this helps, but once you make the UI once, you can use it with a click of a button on another toon. This is already there.

Everyone has access to the PTS server. To access the Public Test Server: Log in to the Star Wars: The Old Republic launcher using your username and password. Click the Settings button (gear) in the bottom left corner of the launcher Under “Enable Public Test Server Access”, select “Yes” Click “Save” Now the bottom left corner will have two buttons: select the new button next to settings Under "Pick an Environment" select "Public Test" Click "Next" and you will begin patching on the Public Test Server* Click "Play" Sure you may need to make a toon, and get to fleet (not very hard I might add).

I went and checked these changes. People are totally over reacting. If you changed any mods you likely changed them because you wanted better stats. Well the mods that were replaced were mods that had things like a ton of alacrity (I am a healer) or accuracy to other stats like power or crit.. or surge. They were not changed like the battlemaster sets, where you would likely be screwed if you changed it. Seriously guys, stop complaining and check for yourself. It is not hard to get on test. Notta, there is one speeder you can buy with merc coms and warzone coms. Or you can convert back to warzone coms (at a loss). I guess I am still not clear. So if I changed my mods in champ gear then it will be what I made it. But what if I didnt change my mods? Will it change to recruit gear? I guess this does not bother me to much, since I am nearly full BM gear. I just hope the folks that do only have champ gear, do not get screwed. And for the guy going on and on about how he does not need BM gear. 1st get on topic, and if you were.. well you were a little off track. The point was not that anyone needs BM gear, the point was to know if the folks that have champ gear will be getting a downgrade.

Well BM gear now costs Warzone coms. You are correct, you no longer need valor 60. costs are 550-1750 each warzone coms. New warzone com max I think is 2000.

Finally a response from someone that sounds like he knows what he talking about. Thank you. One question, if you can tell me will the stats on the champ/cent gear be adjusted like the BM gear? The expertise change (and for me, extra power) may be nice.

The BM bracers and belts on PTS do not have mod slots.

You have champ gear on PTS or are you just assuming? Because I would hope they would change gear you already have, if they are changing stats (aka battlemaster gear).

None of the people that did get copied over can answer this? I would hope that BW did not only pick fully decked out players. How can you expect to test everything that way..

Sounds great. Kinda sad that the testing is limited to a select few at this point. What about the rest of us, who want to test. Sure some may just want to play around with the changes. But others want to make sure the game runs well when it hits live. You did a lot of changes in this patch, and the small group of people you have brought in will not be able to test it all.

No, it is a downgrade by far. Think of level 40 pvp gear, bumped up some for level 50. Though you can get a full set for around 300k. It will be good for those just starting out.
