  1. It's not. Transpose is just a horrible imitation of Sage Rescue, aka pull, which only has a 1 minute CD instead or 1.5 and is an instant cast vs a 1.5 second cast + time it takes to "stop moving" before you can even cast it. So no. It's not "very powerful" it's very useless. Even in PvE where classes can just use their instant cast drop threat abilities.

As for teleporting with the Huttball...Assassins and Operatives can do it as well- but there's is an instant cast. It's a stupid ability with very little value. It makes you wonder about the intelligence of their devs and internal testing teams. Clearly they're just trolling Vanguards/Powertechs.

This sums it up. Remove the cast and it would be useful.

  2. With the start of the new PvP season the influx of bad sins/shadows is going to cause the meta for the class to drop. As a result, BW will decide that since their numbers are so low that they are going to need another buff.

On the flip side of this is that there will be so few mercs, snipers, or dps operatives participating that the ones that do will be above average in skill and cause the meta to rise resulting in another nerf for those classes.

    Metrics don't lie.

  3. Well, this can go back and forth and while this is your opinion its hilarious how you try to point it out. Additionally I was one of the only voices of reason on this forum when the devs tried to give madness a 2 (and then a 3) stack proc for wrath in 2.X - I violently and loudly argued that it would be too strong. If you check my post history you'll find several mentions of me saying that the lightning tree talent for Force Storm needs to go.

You're the one not informed and making cheap and blank statements with no foundation in the truth.

And how, exactly, are you "sure" of that? Gut feeling? Do I need to provide a screenshot? Please don't derail the thread and make it ridicolous further.

Don't get all touchy-feely about it, it is true though, isn't it? I'm not the one derailing it, I said the nerf was overdone by BW as usual and that you are not being objective.

  4. I disagree with the notion that someone's main needs to be taken into account when said person is discussing class balance - its perfectly possible to be objective still.

Yet you are not being objective, you are justifying overkill changes, whereas I have never seen you suggest any changes to your own overtuned abilities.

Your sage/sorc is the only one I've ever seen in warzones, I'm sure you have your Legacy name enabled on most of them.

The other comments about Powertech were not aimed towards you.

If yu're that kind of player i'm afraid your skill credibility just vanished.

What's cool with dps is a class with high potential but hard to mastered.

If you are saying PT is hard to play or hard to master you need a time out. After your time out go do some (solo) ranked games where you will be focused and most likely globaled every round and when you get tired of that then I'll show you how you can do 1000-1400 dps (probably more with the upcoming buff to Shieldtech damage) and 80k protection every yolo round as a tank with 50k health.

  5. No its not a dot, while you usually are sensible you're being ridicolous. The damage done per use is the same as before, you can just use it less often. Its still FREE damage.

You play consular/inquisitor classes and have been loudly advocating that your counter class needs nerfs because obviously your classes are very "balanced" right now. Completely unbiased, eh?

From 0.5 to 1.0 sec ICD change was the only thing needed: that way people would have had the choice if they wanted to waste that ability by damaging the enemy or mitigating focus fire with the SC heal utility. In it's current form it is as you said a "free damage" (read fluff damage) ability with no real point outside of guarding nodes.

And plasmatech nerf is unwarranted, probably a PVE change, but guts the class for PVP.

Same with Full Auto, PVE change with no regards to PvP: 1 of 2 abilities that PTs could use against Shadows/Assassins

Also, boost to Shieldspec damage is lol, PT Tank and Hatred Assassin will be my two specs to play this season in Yolo.

  6. My thoughts on AP as a mainly PT player:

    1) Too many bad players running around as assassins and juggernauts: main reason AP PT and Sniper dies fast right now is because no support from the team and point (3)

    2) Seriously high spike, when it crits. Yes there's an auto-critical perk from the gear, but unless you want to pad stats there isn't much point in trying to use it in the first 5 seconds of combat (auto-crit proc is bound to APs main filler attack) because hoping for people to not have DCDs up is a bad gamble. So I'll save it for the next proc and hope I'll still be alive 1 minute into the game or that my 25% chance to crit happens.

    3) Too much CC immunity so it's hard to counter focus fire.

    4) My changes to AP: more controllable burst to AP (right now you just throw it around and when it crits: much damage, so wow), binding taunts and DCDs - so stupid, tone down the lol-burst-run and and other CC immunities.

  7. while I agree that we have many bugs that need attention including lag, I hope this one gets fixed before season 4 starts. If not those who are 3-4k hp behind coipled with lower stats will be at a significant disadvantage

I look at it as a handicap, it's only there for good sportsmanship and to help those who need the extra boost.

  8. The quality of PVP would go up, but the quantity of players in WZs would go down as the vast number of people that are being carried in 8-man WZs would quit because right now they can *zap-zap turret* relatively freely in 8v8 scenarios and argument that their poor stats are due to "playing objectively". Your proposed change would make that argument obsolete as they'd just get globaled within 15 seconds every game. Their enjoyment and sense of purpose in WZs will go down and thus they stop queuing.

Also, good luck getting 8 man organized teams in this game ever again.

  9. It used to be 25 I believe, but it is now 16 energy to use.

Why I said it was situational is that I'll use it if I really need that DOT to finish someone off with RS or if I have a GCD to spare (i.e. I don't want to waste Rocket Punch/Stockstrike due to conflicting RS/HIB proc etc.). Otherwise Rapid Shot/Hammer Shot when afar for CGC or Flame Burst both of those abilities will do more damage. 3000 damage over 18 seconds is lackluster.

  10. One of my favorite PvP moments regarding SC was in a VS.

I was guarding a door solo, and got mezzed by an operative, waited until he was about to cap, shot off one missile. Rinse and repeat this awful dance until he white-barred me and then I put him out of his misery.

SC is so good at stopping bad stealth classes from capping.

It's even better in Ancient Hypergate.

  11. You use it in conjunction with Battle focus, and your main burst rotation.

Opening on a target I do

Assualt plastic > Incendiary + battle focus > High impact bolt + Shoulder cannon > Shockstrike + Shoulder cannon > high impact bolt + Shoulder cannon > etc

What Crinn said. Except I'd argue Incendiary to be very situational and a waste of GCD for the most part.
