    I hope this isn't working as intended. I can't guard other players because they are taking so much damage. It feels like my armor is a wet paper bag.

    You aren't finishing planet quest lines or flashpoints. I'm almost level 48 and have 3 different sets of matching orange armor. The beginnings of a matching camo set can be found on Voss. The gloves and boots can be purchased with commendations. Its not exactly like what you see on Taris, but it is pretty cool.

    People enjoyed SWG, bad game or not. Decisions made by the developers caused the game to fail. Right now BW is making a decision to throttle servers capacity. The community is speaking BW should listen. I supported EGA waves and I haven't complained about other features. The idea that the servers are being intentionally limited is unacceptable to me.

    It will bite you when TOR follows SWGs legacy. As awesome as this game is, only diehards will eventually commit to playing long term. Large dynamic communities are the life blood of a MMO.

    No, I'm complaining that intentionally throttling the server won't allow a server to develop a true community. Say the server can hold 5000 people (which I thinking is low for the size of the zones) The numbers we are seeing is no where close to capacity.

    I did....there were no additional shards.

    ORLY? I was on Tatooine this morning. My server was heavy populated at the time, but there were only 19 people on the planet. I understand the majority of the community is still on starter zones or earlier planets. The lower zones should have more than 3 shards to accommodate more people. If the game can't handle a larger community per server, I don't know what to say.

    signed. Full server should mean full, not almost empty. The zones are sparsely populated.

    Something happened in WOW. Everybody is rushing to level. It only calmed down in WOW after the game matured. Happened in every MMO when the majority of the community is trying to level.

    You obviously didn't play WOW at release ... Can't speak for EQ2 or LOTOR Is BW throttling servers? The zones are huge. I was on Krayt Dragon this morning. At 7:30am there were only 19 people on Caroline, but the server was heavily populated. I know its not a starter planet, but doing Heroic quests is a pain when there is no one on.

    And the servers aren't full of Darth Maul wannabes? We will just have to agree to disagree. I think the game will benefit from a time sink rather than handing appearances on silver platter. More options the better, but you should earn it

    If I'm not having a issue, then no. I understand the issues people are having with finishing animations, but I don't think that is what the OP was referring to

    It died because it was about silly stuff like customizing your appearance, decorating your house and not about gameplay. The SWG model was proven to be a failure. If everybody can look like an epic character at level 1, what is the use of playing.

    Its your pc or internet connection. I'm on a 2 year old pc and I have had none of the issues you are experiencing

    Yes, without a doubt. Even with all of the moaning and complaining TOR has a very solid foundation. WOW is getting long in the tooth. Its just a matter of time. As much as people talk about end game, the casual player is the majority of the subscription numbers. Like it or not, a few patches and TOR will be the new standard.
