  1. +1 Excellent suggestion, especially for those of us who travel a lot and would like the ability to do things "in-game" while away from our PC's (airports, cabs, client sites). The capabilities I like the most are GTN/mailbox, Crew Skills, Guild Chat.
  2. +1 I'm very disappointed in the lack of voice overs in the KOTFE end-game content. The NPC's talk to me, but my responses apparently are communicated via ESP or body language. It definitely impacts the "immersion" aspect of the game.
  3. -1 to the OP. I'd like to see the family tree expanded to include the comp spouses/SO's.
  4. YES! Give in to your hatred! That being said, an overall excellent suggestion, although the slider could probably be calibrated in days rather than months as most of the accounts that originate spam don't seem to last very long.
  5. You've probably completed your search by now. I'm part way through soloing mine and does it blow going solo! I still have DK and Corusant to go as well as the FP's. Let me know if you want to get together this weekend and knock it out. My main on the Imp side is Mawbry.
  6. 1. The LS/DS points offset each other, so the more of each you make, the longer it takes to hit your Light/Dark tiers. That being said, no one is perfect, so focus on enjoying the role-play and try not to worry about LS/DS maxing. 2. I don't have a basis for comparison. What I have seen so far is a lot of flirting and inferred nookie. Nothing overt. 3. JC's are a great class either as Sage or Shadow. 4. According to BE, out of 3.8M toons, more than 1M are JK or SW. That imples that there is a lot of room for another Smuggler.
  7. You might let your companion soak up some of the damage. If you can keep the elite off it, the companion can typically deal with at-level mobs on their own. This leaves you to tank the elite and focus on mitigating only one mob's worth of damage. Once the trash is down, the companion can help you down the elite. Note: I haven't played to 28 yet, but my experience in beta with the Sith Juggernaut was that the class was all about mitigation. Trying to be a heavy dps-er with that class and skip the mitigation typically leads to bad results.
  8. Or save them for reverse engineering for mats.
  9. Disembowelled by the "Compassionate". ROFLMAO!
  10. This was in the patch notes on the last beta build. The trader is gone and will not be returning.
  11. It's a title and does not effect the game. Just don't wear it in PvP, the opposition may not take you seriously.
  12. You can take a shuttle from your starting zone to the fleet, and from there to the other starting planet. DO NOT DO THIS FOR LEVELING! SW:TOR is not WoW, and going from Korriban to Hutta is not the same as going from Teldrasil to Elwyn Forest. Your class quests are tied to your starting zone. If you move to another starting zone you will lose your class quest progression, and as this drives everything from your companions to your starship, you will severely gimp your character.
  13. And remember, sometimes your companion needs to take a potty break too, so respect their privacy when they are gone.
  14. Don't sweat it. We were all new to MMO's at one point. As a previous poster said, you are gaming in a persistent virtual world. There is no "save" to speak of because every action you take occurs in real time and is permanently changes that world, much like the real world we live in. Good luck, and enjoy the new experience.
  15. For green rewards, definitely commendations, which can be cashed in for blues. For blue rewards, it will depend on your gear progression.
  16. Mac gave a very good summary of the modifications available to your different gear types. The "mod" terminology can be a little confusing, because the term refers to both the general class of customizations that you can do to your gear, and also to a specific customization within that class. Generically, all of these customization are called "mods". Mac's reference to socketing in WoW is very apropos, with the caveat that on the modifiable gear in SW:TOR, the sockets determine the stats rather than merely augment them. One suggestion that comes out of gamepley in the past couple of days: try not to spend your commendation points on gear, and never on unmoddable gear unless there are no other options. It is a far cheaper use of commendations to update a moddable piece of gear with level/zone appropriate mods than it is to by new gear using commendations.
  17. Hi Zero_K. Since there has not been an update from me for nearly 36 hours, I think it is fair to assume that I did in fact get EGA yesterday. My JK (Sentinel) is progressing nicely, and just hit level 15. I'm still two or three class quests from getting my starship however, an unintended consequence of BioWare's decision to increase XP awards in the starting zones. During beta, folks were hitting the fleet and the capitol at somewhere around levels 9-10. Now they are getting there around levels 11-12. The unintended consequence is that folks are probably not getting their starships until level 16-17, instead of around level 15. Again, this is driven solely by your class quest progression, not your leveling, so your mileage may vary.
  18. Massively published the following article in which JO talks about the "gray" reward system and other topics of interest. I highly recommend it as a read. http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/12/14/massively-exclusive-the-force-ghosts-of-past-present-and-futu/
  19. Also, when you log in there is supposed to be a gold flag next to the server that your guild was deployed to.
  20. OK, I won't tell you that. I know it goes away when you die and you have to resummon it. Also, check the buff bar at the top of the screen, as it may be there, and right-clicking it should dismiss it.
  21. Based upon the dev posts that I have seen, this does not appear to be on the horizon. I believe that they have other priorities at the moment. Remember also, WoW did not implement an armory for 4 years after launch.
  22. The posts say that the DDE/CE items will get sent when you enter your retail license key. The DDE keys are supposed to be sent on the 16th.
  23. Pretty much. We can't jump, can't dance, can't sing either.
  24. Thanks for the feedback all. With any luck I'll get EGA today and be able to update the thread with new information for the release version. In the meantime, thanks for reading.
