  1. His name is "Lucky" and you need to let him kill you to get an achievement, then kill him to get another. He isn't a difficult fight. You may even be able to spam zone chat and get folks to come help you kill him.
  2. ACTUALLY. Both of the live streams after the launch of KotET were unscheduled. In the live stream before the launch of 5.0 they mentioned that it would be their last stream before the scheduled January 15th stream. Also those streams didn't appear on their calendar that the published during each stream. They never mentioned the possibility of doing more streams between launch of 5.0 and teh January stream.
  3. I highly doubt that is true. I have only seen a small number of people who support the GC system and the RNG gambling gear crates. I haven't talked to anyone who enjoys the new form a gearing outside of less than a handful of folks here and on Reddit. Judging from the outcry from the community, the fact that server populations don't appear to be increasing and that we haven't seen that flood of returning players we saw with 3.0 and 4.0 I'm guessing BW's decision to change the GC system already is driven by this information. Furthermore, BW implemented a system such as this early on in the life of SWTOR and the system was scrapped after 1 month in favor of the system that BW just replaced with the GC, CXP and Gambling boxes. They are making changes to this system already and I'm betting that more changes are in coming. Eventually the gearing system will look very different than GC and the gambling boxes do now. This is because the community here, on Reddit, Dulfy, Massively OP, MMORPG.com, TORCommunity and other such fansites are all speaking out against the RNG gambling gearing system. Players across the entire gaming community are speaking out against gambling boxes in many different games so much so that 1 country has already passed a law against these gambling crates. It can be seen across the gaming culture than more people dislike the gambling boxes that many games have started doing (thanks to SWTOR getting that started) and players in forums across a dozen different games are speaking their mind against gambling crates. Three game publishers have already taken them out of their games due to player push back and more will follow. These gambling boxes are a bad Idea, putting them behind a paywall and then providing an item in the cash shop that increases your chances stinks of pay to win. These gambling boxes are bad news all they way around and have no benefit to anyone but Bioware.
  4. By her own words Carrie Fisher would want the memorial to read, "she drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra." I believe that her own words would make the most fitting tribute. http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/12/carrie-fisher-dies-strangled-by-bra-wishful-drinking
  5. Carrie Fisher Spent a great deal of time advocating for better Mental Health Services for people suffering from depression and drug addiction. She was a long time supporter of these causes.
  6. /Sighned I would donate real money directly to the dev team to make this tribute happen. A memorial to remember those Star Wars Icon's that we have lost. Timeline, emersion and cannon be dammed I would love to see a memorial to them in game.
  7. No, you can't have her! 2016 you have taken so many greats from us, you can't have Carrie Fisher too!
  8. Not that it is any of my business, but since this is a public forum and you guys have ID'ed yourselves as members of a particular guild, honestly this behavior makes you look bad. I've never had a very good opinion of said guild and this juvenile activity solidifies it. According to the forums ToS, you have violated the edicate of these forums and as such I have reported the posts of 4 individuals in this thread.
  9. All of my favorite memories come from raiding and contain language and stories that can't be posted here... Lol! I sure wish we could get new Operations so that we have the opportunity to reconstitute our guilds and make more of these memories...
  10. SWTOR Dev Team. Why do you insist on reinventing the wheel? It feels like you are doing far more work than you need to do by trying to, yet again, create a new gearing system...
  11. Galactic Command has hastened the decline. One must wonder if this was on purpose...
  12. Some guilds, regardless of size, will move to different games and either thrive or flounder. My guild has factions in ESO, Blade and Soul, Marvel Heroes, WoW and SWTOR. The BnS branch pretty much folded up and came back to SWTOR, same with all but 4 from the WoW and MH branches. We have a decent amount playing ESO and there are only a couple of us splitting time between ESO and SWTOR. I'm the only guild Officer playing both currently but I'm going to be dropping one of the 2 at the end of January. Most likely to be SWTOR. My guild will continue on, there are enough of us that get along really well and really enjoy gaming with each other that I don't foresee the guild folding at this point. We are growing our ESO faction and working on becoming an endgame PvE guild. We have alliances with 2 VERY BIG trade guilds in ESO and are poised to start expanding in ESO. Now I don't think SWTOR will die anytime soon. At least not before the next big Star Wars, non FPS, PvP focused game comes out. However I also don't foresee things getting better or the player base expanding. BW is transitioning SWTOR into something different than the MMORPG that it was published as and they are TRYING to be subtle about it. The problem is that a large portion of their fans and former fans already sense the disturbance in the force and have either left or have 1 foot out the door. They may not have the population they need to keep the game afloat financially by the time this transition is over.
  13. I like this idea. It can be like opening a Command Crate, every couple of minutes an RNG number selects which BW employee will be talking to us. It could be Joe teh night janitor or Ben Irving! The RNG actually favors Joe, so expect to see him most often, but hey every time he answers with "I don't know" or sits there silently we can disintegrate that answer for a chance to get Ben back sooner...
  14. It seems like this should have been the FIRST thing a good quality assurance team would have checked or possibly a good question for a developer to have asked themselves when deciding to make this change. If I take away the ability to throw snowballs at NPC's how will players be able to throw snowballs at the gift droids? The SWTOR devs make a lot of mistakes that indicate that they tend to get tunnel vision when working on projects and changes. If I made the kind of mistakes these guys make I would have lost my job a long time ago...
  15. SWTOR Presents The Galactic Command System! Let's Make the Galaxy great again!
  16. ESO has gone through a lot of changes the past 16 months. If you haven't played it or haven't played it since this time last year or later then It is worth giving a shot. Fair warning the manual blocking, dodging, aiming and rolling are usually what throw SWTOR and WoW players off. In the words of one of my guildmates, "I don't want the have to think that much." It's a fair assessment and I often forget to watch out for those mechanics myself. The Progression system in ESO is all about character development and improvement and gear that can get you into Vet (hard mode) content can be crafted (complete with set bonuses) by any one who takes the time to learn all teh crafting skills. I go back and forth between SWTOR and ESO, sometimes multiple times in a day, but I am really liking ESO A LOT more these days.
  17. Any complaint that "hits to close to home" or points out major issues is deleted quickly. I posted rough estimates, based on known variables, of how long it would, theoretically, take me to get to CR300 and each and every post has been deleted. I haven't gotten a warning email or anything, but after the 8th post got deleted I stopped posting my estimate.
  18. Yep I missed 1 day of subscription when I was switching banks a few months ago and didn't get the HK Helmet or the HK bonus chapter. Because of that mistake, because of a single day, actually because of about 6 hours, I will not be getting this statue... Who cares, I barely play this game anymore, am rarely in my stronghold when I do and decorations are pretty much just meaningless fluff anyway. I'm cool with it.
  19. You hit the nail on the head with this one. "Everyone's opinion matters, unless it is different than mine. In that case I will tell you where and why you are wrong."
  20. There are folks in this thread who understand & those who don't. I appreciate the understanding and even the attempts too. For those who don't understand, I hope you never have too, gut you could try to see a different perspective. No it isn't the dev's responsibility to monitor these issues, but the right thing to do is to not create a system that is completely dependent on an RNG system that has a direct correlation to straight up gambling. It is a little irresponsible in my opinion. Thanks again to those who know empathy and have had kind thing to say, it's deeply appriciated.
  21. Good luck! I hope you enjoy it, I think it is a great game!
  22. I was in the same boat, I played Beta, was with it when it went live and I just wanted to play SWTOR more. Then about a year ago I went back and I haven't been disappointed. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I enjoy SWTOR. It does have it's own issues and it isn't perfect. No SWTOR shouldn't emulate ESO they are 2 different beasts, however taking something that works adjusting it to work in SWTOR would be really cool. The Champion System and ESO's style of gearing would never work in SWTOR, but an adapted version could work and would be better than what we have right now...
