  1. See, once I get to 80 I kinda lose the feeling of repeating content over with another char so might play the story with a couple chars and the remaining ones will just stop once they hit 80. So far I think only my trooper is the one that has to go through Onslaught again so the rest will just have to get rid of the emperor once and for all then I'll decide which ones go through the whole story and which ones just stop at 80. I just couldn't be bothered to go though onslaught again with my trooper
  2. Meh, guess I'll have to do Onslaught, reach lvl 80 and some chars won't do 7.0, hopefully they won't do same thing on next expansion, ah well. Thanks all for replies
  3. Hello and apologies if this has been asked before, though I checked the first 10 pages of the forum or so and couldn't find anything about this. I have a few chars at 75 (guess like pretty much everyone else, right?) and some of them didn't do Onslaught. My question is, can I skip Onslaught and start directly on Legacy of the Sith content? I have been unable so far but I'd really like skipping Onslaught tbh and go straight for the new content. Is there any way I can do that?
  4. Hmmm, the word that comes to my mind to describe the game as a whole is "decaf". For some reason, it makes sense to me
  5. I really think it's a great idea, but as the above poster said, better put it in suggestions forum, it doesn't belong here, doesn't have whining, doomsaying, not asking for server merges, not saying the game is fine and BW devs are gods on earth... take your pick.- Anyway, I think would be a great addition to the legacy feature.-
  6. Both lvl 50 Gunnery Commando Trooper and lvl 50 Balance Shadow Consular, are fun to play... when i feel like playing ofc, so I wouldn't touch them.-
  7. Hmmm, I think it depends on the instance, overall, for me, story mode should be something achievable for a random pug geared mostly with the previous instance gear. As an example, EV Story Mode should be achievable for a PuG geared up with daily comms gear / Tionese gear from HM FP's while the upcoming 1.2 raid story mode should be something achievable by a random pug mainly geared in Columi from EV / Karagga's. Of course, augment slots would make this a tad more complex since it seems that augmented Columi is better than standard Rakata but the way I see it, augment slots can make up for the lack of, let's say a Columi level chest thus giving a broader option on gear requirement and give more choices, like evaluating what is better, a certain stat augmented or a set bonus.- That'd be for 8 / 16 player teams and not including companions, I don't think Story Mode should be achievable with, let's say 6 players and two companions.-
  8. That would be a good idea, RE reward and even social orange items for a chance of getting an augment slot (or a high chance of getting the schematic thus the chance of an augment slot upon crafting it) would make said gear more desirable and would help keeping the GTN prices for crit crafted orange armor on the side of reasonable. It sounds good and straightforward, hence why I'm sure BW, sadly, won't implement it.-
  9. I think some kind of teleporting to the Heroic area or summoning a speeder to take you there would do more to encourage grouping for Heroic quests, at least it would do for me. Many times I didn't join a Heroic mission grp because I was at the furthest side of the planet and didn't feel like wasting considerable time going to the Heroic area and back later.
  10. No need of dps meters for that, as soon as combat logs are available, optimal min/maxed builds will be posted all over the class forums and, if SWTOR players follow other MMO trend, a noticeable amount of them will change their spec to the optimal one. That will evidence that some AC talents/trees are useless and devs will have to either leave them as they are or implement further balancing (which is scary to say the least) to bring said talent trees on par with the best performing ones, but hey, it's the thing talent tree MMOs, there is THE build and pretty much everything else besides said build is useless except for experimental soloing. I don't mind either combat logs or dps meters, they're useful tools if used right and nasty tools if used wrong so the problem is not the meter, it's how people use it, I just highly doubt devs have a clue of which ground they're stepping into by implementing them.-
  11. 1) I thought that already could be done, not sure of what you mean there.- 2) Agreed, specially now that after 1.2 patch, orange gear from drops/mission completion rewards will be less desirable since it doesn't have an augment slot.- 3) Agreed.- Also, granting social points for accomplishing missions on a team or killing bosses, I mean, not just for conversation rolls (at the end of the day, teaming with other players is also a form of socializing). Agreed it would be just a band aid, but anything that could implemented really soon would help since iirc, the talks about a LFD tool were about June, and it'll be intra-server so, anything that could be implemented immediately would help in the meantime. If devs find out that said immediate implementations have sorted the issue to an extent they're happy with (I highly doubt it but I don't have a crystal ball) then fine, if not, making it easier to find groups until a proper tool is implemented can't harm.-
  12. True indeed and I don't have anything personally against implementing a X-LFD tool, but seeing that is a big issue for many people both sides of the fence, I think there are other options to explore (which seem faster and easier implementation although I could be wrong) before deciding whether to implement a LFD tool or not and which kind of LFD tool to use. In any case, LFD or not, user created cross-faction server wide channels would be really helpful in a game where rolling alts is encouraged so players don't miss impromptu events in their guild or by their friends while levelling an opposite faction alt, but that's another subject.
  13. Hmmm, as pretty much everything else, LFG tool has huge pros and huge cons. What really amazes me is that BW are going to blindly jump into a middle ground, intra-server LFG. I hope it works, but from my past experience in Rift, an intra-server LFG was as good as not having anything. In my personal opinion, before they go for any kind of LFG tool, they should go for a server wide (also cross-faction) LFG channel and some sort of teleporting to FP door and even Heroic mission area. If they implemented it real soon and test its efectiveness, then they'd have more ground to decide if an LFG tool is still needed and which kind of LFG tool to implement, same server or cross server one. In other games that don't have a LFG tool, that kind of channels were user created (and moderated) and they were very successful for both finding teams and building a strong community which I guess is what most people in the game would like. WoW is undeniably the most successful MMO game ever, but not necessarily the only one that has great features to look at.-
  14. Hmmm, I can't see major changes to my PvE Ops rotation. I usually went for: GRx3 / FA / Demo / GRx2 / HiB / Insta CB From there, I just used GR to keep the 5 gravity vortex on target refreshed and relied on Demolition Round, CoF procced FA and HiB when 5 stacks for the +30% dmg. The 10% dmg nerf on CB will matter to me the same than the 10% nerf on GR, almost nothing since I used CB to trigger CoF, if the CoF chance has been increased, I see it as a fair trade for the -10% dmg (plus of course, the standard attack to regain ammo). The only thing that really annoys me is the net loss of 3% crit, in my personal opinion, they should rework diminishing returns on crit to regain that 3% or at least part of it.-
