  1. Well, like has been stated numerous times already, there is nothing gamebreaking about any of the bugs. And, yes, every patch that has ever gone out into any MMO in the last decade + has had some bugs. It's inevitable.
  2. Reminds me of a song from an old movie: "You can't win, my friend, you can't win. You can't win, my friend, so why even try? If you're lucky enough to live through today Tomorrow you....will die...." For people like this, there is no solution.
  3. My post was specifically about the filter on the AH. It did work fine, but you have to admit it worked because there was no filter on the AH. Which, in my case anyway, I would buy a lesser item than I knew was possible (by watching the resource spawn history) simply because I got tired of looking. On the other side of that, though, it was really nice when you did find someone who was dedicated enough to not only stay vigilant about resource spawns, but was set up to farm the crap out of excellent resources for the duration that they were live, so that all his wares were premium, with some "top-shelf" wares on top of that. Those were the crafters you bookmarked and returned to. Rewarded for dedication. It was excellent in that aspect.
  4. But if you implement a filter that filters out all the crafted items you don't want and only finds the highest statted item, that would so completely shut out those crafters that the whole system would effectively be sabotaged, and you might as well scrap statted resources. Catch-22. That we will, yes.
  5. Endgame viability would be nice, but how do you do that without killing the endgame content reward system? I suppose you could split it down the middle, but then that presents a whole slew of other problems, such as crafters not being raiders, so you remove the BoP, which generally garners insane prices being asked from the raiders, which drives the price of the crafted item too high or the crafter makes no profit or loses money, etc.
  6. I just sold a level 23 purple hilt for 20k. Twinkers are starting to buy up more and more.
  7. That's not the answer, either, and Damion Schubert actually already addressed it quite well: And he's right. I still remember quite well standing at that AH terminal for over an hour and finally getting burned out just trying to find a few items, and having to scroll through literally hundreds of pages of pure junk. Not fun. And let's not forget one of the goals of this crafting system, which is actually happening more and more as time goes by: And make no mistake: Rewards for dedicated crafting that is above and beyond casual crafting NEEDS to happen. Source
  8. Not crafted, though. There are a few looted ones that are fully moddable. But artifice can make 2 each of the orange lightsabers, anyway.
  9. The lightsaber is basically just a hilt and a crystal, both of which are quite in demand from artifice. Also, I sell a LOT of blues with every crafter, as people buy those for companions.
  10. I think the problem people are having is that the economy is too realistic. Don't want to work? Don't want to earn it? Then you won't have money and you won't be able to buy what you need/want. For those willing to work, however, the payoff is huge.
  11. I saw this coming from a mile away, too. X-server zealots not even giving it two days before crying foul. Doesn't work like that, I'm afraid. Give it at least a week or so, my goodness. People are still trying to augment all their gear.
  12. Yeah, right. I didn't see a single person who felt ripped off by this person.
  13. Well, really though, the only ones I've heard staying behind on their low-pops are ones that really didn't want to group, anyway, or have their circle of friends there that they group with and will not PuG. If they really did want to PuG, they'd move to where there are people. Free transfers is your X-server. I'm not saying that's right. I'm not saying that's wrong. It just is what it is.
  14. So far, I'm finding that there are a LOT of people spamming in fleet because they don't even realize it's there. Even members of my own guild have some sort of allergy to reading this forum and the patch notes. They were asking me, "What's with all the "augment kit" comments in General?" >.< Also, I predicted that the X-server evangelists would use this period of newness to preach that an X-server is needed. Calm down, folks. People are still learning that it's even there, and most others are still trying to augment every piece of equipment they have before they start queuing. Just as with server queues, give it a week or so. We'll see much wider use of the tool as well as steady, and faster, queue times.
  15. So far I've seen the following retorts: You can make millions crafting: Crafting is boring and pointless! You can make lots of money doing dailies: I refuse to grind dailies! You can make millions (like the one linked earlier who made 100,000,000 credits) by playing the GTN: it's too time consuming and tedious! So, how exactly do you want to earn your credits?? Because it's really starting to sound like you just want credits handed to you...
  16. And I think even that number is pointless. Because it doesn't mean that they can't afford what they want. Again, I'm part of that 84%, yet I can raise the money for whatever I want whenever I want, and it only takes a few days. Making money is silly easy in this game. After all, in only 5 months on a LIGHT server, and almost all playing the GTN, this player made 100 million credits. It shows that the strong potential is there if you have some financial savvy.
  17. Yep, I'm one of those. At no time whatsoever do I have over a million credits just lying around. However, just within the last two weeks, I've bought two complete sets of Legacy 20 gear, farmed (through missions) and bought mats for all purple crafting mods, including greens, blues, and purple mats, and donated to the guild bank, all totalling a little over 8 million credits. How? Playing the GTN and doing dailies when I need the money. When I don't need the money, I do other things. I raise it when I need it, and it only takes 3 days to raise 1.2 million credits. But hey, I'm still part of that 84% that has less than a million credits.
  18. How is posting my own personal experience, just to add to the overall consensus, and happens to be the opposite of many other experiences, in any way whatsoever an attempt to silence you? I'm just throwing another coin in the pot, man.
  19. Then you missed the one where I stated that I AM NOT AN EMPLOYEE, NOR AM I BEING COMPENSATED, IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER FOR MY POSTS. There, are you done with the strawmanning, false accusations, and general pointless personal attacks?
  20. Probably not. But it's only two days old, and in General Chat there are still an astounding number of people that don't even know its there. Hell, I even have guildies that seem to be allergic to both this site and the patch notes. Give it a little more time than merely two days, and its use will increase. It's WAAAYYYY too early to be calling "foul" on it.
  21. Yes, because since my experience isn't negative and reflects bad on BioWare, and is not filled with hyperbole and QQ it obviously means that my experience is less valid than those... others. Amirite?
  22. I like this approach to the economy much better than other games' approaches, which usually becomes a fiasco merely weeks after launch. Rift's, for example, is a complete joke, and WoW's has been for years. In this game, it's a much more steady approach, and is getting better all the time. I like that I actually have to decide on what I'm going to spend and where, and that I can't have everything I want in a matter of merely weeks. That's the sign of a good economy. As for things not on the GTN, my experience isn't that nothing sells, but that there is very little there to actually buy every time I look, forcing me to level a crafter myself. That said, I'm gearing up to fill those gaps in the GTN, which is the ultimate goal of the system, don't you think?
